My husband and I booked the hotel a few weeks before our stay and were pleased to get a room with continental breakfast for £51.60 a night. Having used quite a few different Travelodges over many years, we were not expecting very much. We're pleased that it was much better then expected and incredible value for money. We were given a family room with a put-u-up bed and a trundle bed under our double(excellent value if you had kids with you). The room was large, clean, comfy, everything worked. The bathroom had a bath and over-shower which appeared new, again everything was working. There was a little bit of wear and tear in the corridors, but not in the room. We had a snack in the bar on arrival which was very good value and the staff were friendly, efficient and relaxed and confident in their work. We had a good night's sleep, didn't hear any noise, even with the window open and I'm a light sleeper. Extremely easy check-in and out, just popped our key in the box and that was that. Well done Travelodge Exeter, you're getting it right and if you subtract the cost of 2 Box breakfasts (£9.90) the room only cost £41.70 they're getting it even more right in my opinion. Many thanks.

Room Tip: Our room's window opened on to the car park and we could hear a little motorway noise, but not e...

Stayed at the hotel several years ago and vowed never to go back. The rooms were dirty and shabby, staff unhelpful
Decided to give it another try following the re-fit. What a pleasant surprise, the rooms were clean, well maintained and staff very friendly. They even put a fan in the room.

My daughter and I recently stayed here for one night, using it as a base to visit Exeter. The hotel is located just off the M5 but is remarkably quiet. Rooms are clean and comfortable and breakfast in the restaurant/pub on site was perfectly adequate for our needs. I was pretty peeved to receive a £100 bill for parking on site about a week after my return. However, the management team was very apologetic and quick to respond and cancel the charge, for which I'm very grateful.

Very little sleep because of thinness of curtains. Apparently the hotel was recently refurbished & they threw out the old thick ones & replaced them with thin ones. There was a bright light outside my room which didn't help, but the daylight came straight thro' anyway after about 5.30. Nice, good value breakfast, but awful, desperately weak cappuccino, over-priced @ £3.29.

We stayed in this holiday for one night whilst visiting Exeter. It was easy to book and quite good value for money, we stayed in a family room. Upon arriving we were happy to discover that the hotel is attached to a nice restaurant serving basic pub food. Check in was nice and easy. The room was spotlessly clean and very good quality and the beds lovely and comfortable. We were only given two bath towels however the lovely lady in reception was happy to provide us with more. One slight downside was that the room did not have any aircon and it was very hot, opening the windows helped a bit and it soon cooled down. The room we stayed in was facing the carpark and it was nice a quiet.

The pub/ restaurant attached to the hotel serviced nice, reasonably priced food and the breakfast was lovely.

Would definatly use this hotel again if staying in the Exeter area.
