“A good, convenient travelodge”
Reviewed 27 August 2014 via mobile

I stayed here for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. The room was clean, the beds were comfy. There were fresh towels each day. The staff at reception were friendly and answered any questions I had. Our booking with travel Republic gave us a daily breakfast box. My only change would be being able to pick 4 items of choice rather than choose one box or the other. Having a cooked breakfast included would be even better! You can hear the motorway as you would expect at services but other than that a quiet stay. Would stay again if I got a great price.

Not the best Travelodge I have been to, definetly aware you are stopping in a very basic hotel. That said it did the job, it provided us with a comfy bed for the night and a place to park the car at no extra cost. OK to use enroute to break the journey up. Wasn't too happy to discover there was no hairdryer in the room but apparently one could be picked up from reception. Given it was on a motorway services you would expect a fair amount of traffic noise but was surprised at the level of this with the windows shut. Could hear quite a bit from other travellers in their rooms too.

Arrived on Friday 22nd august for two nights, checked in registered the car, everyone that worked there could not do enough to help.
The room was lovely and clean bed was comfy a very pleasant stay will defiantly be back next year.
Food in the bar and grill was nice too. Coffee a little pricey!
A fab weekend was had by all

Great location for breaking up a long holiday journey to Cornwall, perfect location. We had a quick, problem free check in late at night. We had a quiet night's sleep and we were impressed by size of rooms and how clean it was. Defo recommend. Also the only travelodge I've been to where I haven't had to ask for extra milks/coffee etc for the drinks tray!! Great place. Best shower ever too!

We arrived here for one night on the 23rd so we could enjoy the Dawlish Air Show longer than normal as we had a long drive back. We checked in later after the air show and was welcomed by a strapping young man at reception (can't remember the name, guy with mousy brown hair, long on one side). Very pleasant... We checked into the room, registered the car, then went for a meal at the Bar & Grill as suggested. The rooms were clean and tidy with no issues. Overall a brilliant day and a brilliant stay, thank you so much !! Thanks again for you help !!! We will be back next year.

We arrived at about 1600hrs on a Thursday, I had made the booking on the internet £83 for a family room, we were booked in very efficiently and offered a room on the ground floor as I have back problems. The room looked tired it was clean, flat screen tv, tea & coffee milk, sugar, a dressing table one double bed and a put you up for a third person which we did not need, the bathroom had a bath shower over, wc, sink soap dispenser for sink and one for bath. We made tea & coffee, I had a shower after this but the dispensers were empty but it was to late by then as I was already wet, so had to get out dry myself and go to reception to tell them they rectified the problem right away by filling up the containers. my wife had a bath so I had to go to reception again for the hairdryer no prob they had one. The bed was comfortable but had a prob with the sheets and pillow cases during the night felt very hot and itchy I think it was the washing powder used but not there fault, Breakfast cost an extra £4.99 for a fried egg one rasher bacon half a tomato a round of fried bread and a dish of beans very well cooked. I prefer Premier Inn but they were full, I thought it was expensive for one night. Plus you had to pay £3.00 for wifi so the total cast was about £93.

Room Tip: Its pot luck.

The staff were very polite and helpful with 24 hour reception. The rooms were clean but the bathroom needed updating. The bar/restaurant was very disappointing, overpriced and the food was poor. Good location and wasn't to noisy and the car park was fine.
