“Good venue for business meetings”
Reviewed 12 January 2012

I held a business meeting here last night and I have to say it went very well. The venue has loads of free parking, is easy to access and the service was excellent - thank you very much for your efforts.
We had a room set up for 30 delegates, all facilities such as speakers and projector were provided and we have a separate room for tea and coffee at the start and a buffet served mid-way.
The food served was very good.
I would recommend this place for any business meeting where the vast majority of the delegates have the option to arrive by car.

“OK if you like horses running round in circles”
Reviewed 5 January 2012

But there are some decent conferencing facilities. The track is a long away outside Exeter at the top of a very big hill on the day to Plymouth. It is therefore windswept so take a good set of weather clothing if you go. All food on site because there's nowhere else close by. Scored average because I don't like watching horses running in circles. For those who do, they may well disagree with me.

“Great Sunday Lunch with view of the finishing post”
Reviewed 30 November 2011

We booked a special dining package at Exeter racecourse to celebrate a family birthday. We were greeted by a very friendly host and led to a great table overlooking the finishing post. The starter and dessert were served at the table with the main course involving a visit to the carvery. I am not usually a fan of carveries but the quality and quantity of the meat was great and the vegetables excellent. Although the room was virtually full, we did not have to queue at the carvery. Bets could be made at the table or you could go down to the bookmakers by the course. I am not a regular racegoer but really enjoyed this visit and would love to visit Exeter races again. Only slight issue was the waitresses who were very sweet but not the most efficient! Lost a few pounds as our horses had an unfortunate tendency to unseat their jockeys.

“Good day at the G.G's”
Reviewed 22 October 2011

Unusual and enjoyable, lots of space to walk around, nice facilities, fast food, drink on offer and good to go and watch - maybe have a flutter or two on the G.G's. Set on the top of Haldon Hills, nice scenery, good walks, picnic areas. Can be covered in cloud but on a sunny day is really good fun especially on race days.

“Good racecourse, fine day out.”
Reviewed 18 October 2011

Went today for the Novice Chase Day. Good course. Fantastic setting at the top of Haldon Hill.easy access on the A38 from Exeter and Plymouth. Good road too from Torquay and Newton Abbot. Worth noting that on race days there are free buses from Exeter St David's railway station and from Exeter bus station. Good grandstand and catering facilities. Great way to spend a fine autumn day.
