We stopped off here on a Sunday evening on our way from Penzance to Dorset. Friendly welcome and although the hotel is a little dated from the outside the room was clean and comfortable and great value.

Room Tip: Free wifi for 30 minutes each day of your stay.

Good stay at hotel. Good quality room, clean and well presented. Had evening meal in restaurant. The food was very good; good selection and well priced. All staff very good, helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure you enjoyed your stay. Will stay again if in the area.

We stayed here on a Sunday night recently to break our journey to the south west of Cornwall, pleasant reception staff on arrival, directed to our room, room perfectly acceptable, nice and clean, but come bedtime the mattress was so uncomfortable that neither my husband or myself got any sleep, in fact so bad we were up showered, dressed and ready to leave at 6-45am the following morning. When handing keys back to reception, the guy on duty asked if all was ok and when we explained, well not really etc etc without any prompting or us asking he immediately said he would refund our money on this goodnight guarantee and then he proceeded to tell us that the Inn would be undergoing major refurbishment come November, I think they need to bring this forward or else they are going to be losing a lot more money through sleepless nights. Otherwise great location, easy to find.

At last!!! A premier inn that has quiet rooms!!! Even though it's near the main road leading to Exeter it is far enough from the roads not to hear the cars!!

Stayed at room 22 during my stay. On arrival, staff were superb! Really helpful and offered to take my bags to the room. Excellent customer service!!

Slightly unusual prem inn in that rooms are round a courtyard. You have to go outside reception and cross car park to access rooms. This location could do with a refurbishment though having said that we had comfortable stay. Now to the attached Beefeater restaurant. We stayed for 3 nights the first 2 nights were a catalogue of poor service.missed starters mixed up orders long waits for food drinks not arriving. But on the credit side they refunded drinks and gave us a free drink on 2nd night. And listed us as vips on 3rd night. My guess though is that this restaurant could have future issues.

We had booked this hotel months ago, for a two night stay, and arrived with some trepidation after some mixed recent reviews, but it turned out to be perfectly fine. It has obviously been another hotel and whilst the it has been re-branded and liveried the rooms are slightly different to the PI standard, although ours had all the facilities we expected. The hotel is on a very busy junction, but our room in the two storey block and far away from the road was very quiet, and we were able to leave our window open for ventilation, over a very hot weekend. The reception area is a bit sad and dated, but otherwise we found the decor and appearance to be fine.
Turning to the Beefeater restaurant, we felt if was typical of the brand, and the food was OK. However as regular users of the PI 'Meal Deal' package we were a little disappointed to find that the 'improved' menu cost a pound more and included an entire course less.

Room Tip: Rooms numbered 25 to 48 are far from the road and will be quieter.

Checked-in with the computers down. Told not to worry only to find funds had been taken overnight - not allowing me my choice of payment card.

The Breakfast was awful! Poorly presented, cooked and served. Portions of mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans etc were disgracefully small - 3 small old button mushrooms.
