Since November 2011, I have been working in Exeter and apart from the occasional taxi journey I've walked past the Magdalen Chapter.
I've watched as it's impressive architecture has been tastefully and lovely transformed into this amazing hotel.
Having stayed at what Exeter has to offer in it's limited stock of savoury hotels, with this newcomer now on the scene, it not only opens a new 'Chapter' (pardon the pun) but as a new level of hospitality to surpass.
As it has only just opened staff and technologies are still finding their way, but if over the last few months you had experienced how this has all come together, it is truly an amazing fete.
The swimming pool and spa are due to open soon, but I still managed to try one of the massages which I can only describe as heaven.
If I wasn't already on a high, with having a meal in the elegant restaurant, being one of their perfectly cooked steaks and the chocolate mousse (which is to die for), then you would pass over very peacefully in the amazingly comfortable bed.
How or why I would want to pull myself away at the weekends to go back home I'm not sure, but it is a struggle....
I can see the next six months staying here one that I will not want to end.
