A lovely little theatre with an old-world kind of feel. It's a little haven. Lounging on the sofas playing board games with a drink is very relaxing.

This is a lovely little cinema. The drinks are a little expensive but that can be excused because they put on so many films worth seeing.

“Easily the best cinema in East Devon”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

We are oap regulars who try to see every well-reviewed film, mostly coming in for afternoon showings of films and encore showings of the NTLive, theatre and opera live shows. The staff are informed, extremely helpful and we trade opinions of the films we have seen with them.
The bar staff are courteous and helpful despite sometimes being overwhelmed for the live theatre, etc., shows. The menu is a bit limited but this is by far the best place to appreciate both popular and art-house cinema.
The car park can't be stretched sadly but there are three invaluable disabled slots. And for the more abled bodied there are nearby places.

“Best cinema in the South West”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Amazing independent-feeling cinema, that lets you take a beer into the screening, and sit on sofas. Much more affordable than other cinemas, and shows not only the blockbusters, but some really good lesser known films. Amazing cafe restaurant upstairs. All round a great night out.

“Good but not great”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

I can't remember when I went but its good. There's a good selection of adult films but the children's ones are rubbish. They always get the good films for kids when there on DVD. For kids films its better to go to the odeon or the vue
