“Exeter university open day”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

I stayed in this very new premier inn with my daughter the night before the Exeter university open day having travelled 200 miles to get there. Excellent location, modern clean room with very comfortable beds.

Stayed for 1 night on business. Easy checking, large clean room and very comfortable bed and pillows.

Extremely quite considering a busy road at side of hotel and didn't hear other guests noise internally.

Would recommend this hotel.

As ever premier have another stylish comfortable hotel. My only gripe was the heat and no opening windows in room for fresh air!!!!!! it felt very stiffling. i was on ground floor and my sons family was on first floor!! we all had headaches by the morning and couldnt wait to get out. sorry
premier. we did report i findings to reception in the morning.
On the up side quiet location yet close to motorway, easy to find, lots of free parking, plus eating houses close by.

Even though this was a new hotel the staff went out of their way to see our trip ran smoothly. I do recommend that you book your table at the restaurant before you go as it is very busy.
Very clean...

On arriving, we tried using the self check in - complete disaster.. Do wish Premier Inn would stick to people, as automated check in is an awful idea, and incredibly unwelcoming!
Anyhoo, we arrived at 4:30 - room not ready - even though check in from 2:00. Seemed a bit odd. Overlooking that, our room was good, as we've come to expect from Premier.
Awoken one night by the fire alarm at 3am, but an apologetic letter outside the door in the morning.
Very, very useful if you want to go into Exeter, as the park and ride is within walking distance. What staff we did see were robotic, and didn't talk a lot. Not a particularly customer welcoming hotel (in our view!)
Breakfast was the usual standard - very good, and the staff in the Brewer's Fayre, were much better at being chatty and friendly!
Have stayed in better Premiers. But since the hotel is brand new - perhaps it's teething problems! Would stay again, probably!

Room Tip: Fairly quiet throughout.

Nice new hotel, lift available, and great parking. Only a couple of issues, fire alarm went off at 3:05am and another 2 or 3 times in the next 40 minutes, temperature control for the room was set to central, hence no temperature control in the room. Would stay again though, probably the best Premier in Exeter!!

My first stay in this Premier Inn. I'm a convert from the Holiday Inn Express next door which charges astronomical prices sometimes considering it's only an Express. This Premier Inn was very new with the automated checkin (nice idea but prefer the personal touch) and the room was very comfortable and absolutely spotless, with a nice large flatscreen TV and deep bath. The beds in Premier Inns are always comfortable and this was no exception. Downsides: 1) I couldn't open the window 2) the WiFi should be free in line with many hotels these days. And that's me being picky. Breakfast in the Brewers fayre was actually quite reasonable. My Son's hoping to come to Exeter Uni so I can see me coming to this Premier Inn quite a bit.
