“great night stay”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

We stayed at Exeter m5 premier inn. We found it no problem, it was straight forward and easy to find. There were plenty of parking spaces so there would be no worries if you were late arriving. On arrival the staff were pleasant and helpful. Checking in was convenient and easy. It seemed to be quite a new build so everything was modern and airy but above all it was spotless both in rooms and surrounding building. As expected the bed was comfortable and additional pillows were provided. The shower was divine, hot and powerful. Restaurant (brewers fayre) was just next to the hotel and was easy to make booking for evening meal. The food was lovely and even though it was busy they were still prompt with serving our food. It was here we had breakfast. We did have breakfast at a popular time so it was quite busy. They could have had extra staff because the tables weren't emptied as promptly as they usually are and they were constantly running out of food and cutlery etc. Not complaining though because out of peak times this wouldn't be an issue.

Used the hotel for an overnight stay before an interview nearby. The hotel is a brand new Premier Inn and had a few extra touches that you wouldn't usually find.

The TV had USB/HDMI/SCART connections near an electrical socket at a good height for hooking up your laptop to the 40" Samsung, taking a DVD player or even a games console.

The room itself was of a good size and the en-suite bathroom was perfect with a great power shower!

My only complaint about my stay would be the lack of soundproofing, considering this is a new hotel you would think you could get this right. Unfortunately this meant that next door's iPhone alarm woke me up several times as they snoozed it!!

Breakfast, in the adjacent Brewers Fayre was a good start to the day with plenty of hot and cold options available.

Overall - a nice one-night option in Exeter and perfect if you need to be close to the M5. Would stay here again and I would recommend the hotel, providing no one is snoozing their alarm next door...!

Although the hotel is in a busy part of Exeter it was very peaceful and just what we needed after a busy day cleaning the house to leave. We had a wonderful nights sleep and the breakfast was excellent.

This was used for a nights stop whilst visiting Exeter uni, we booked 2 rooms and were given a polite and professional welcome on our arrival from the male receptionist, who also offered to make a reservation at the restaurant next door (don't bother) for a meal that evening. The rooms were spotless and the staff we passed all friendly and polite. Would always use Premier Inn above others in a similar league as it delivers.

Room Tip: Rooms facing car park slightly smaller than those facing Holiday Inn side but otherwise both clean a...

stayed for one night. Hotel and staff excellent. Spotlessly clean. Left average score due to not being able to open windows in the room so room became stuffy and woke up dehydrated and with terrible headache. Ate dinner in restaurant which wasn't cheap, but ingredients certainly were. Wasn't nice. Was looking forward to breakfast as had enjoyed premier inn breakfasts at other hotels. Was very disappointed. No cups no glasses. Ran out of butter for croissants. Sausages were like carbon. Bacon covered in grim looking black stuff. Staff were not helpful. Not good and not worth the money. Shame as hotel is lovely
