“Really good food, small room, squeakey floors and overpriced.”
Reviewed 29 April 2010

QCH is a nice small hotel, in a great place and the chef is excellent.
There are a few things it is worth pointing out.
1) It is clean and well presented.
2) The staff were very good.
3) Their website forgets to mention that during the day they have to rely on the public parking at £5.80 a day. A small issue maybe but one some will consider as they may not wish to leave their vehicle in an open car park. It may be full of luggage for example.
4) I thought it was expensive, £250 for 2 nights in a small family room seemed so to me.
5) The floors were so noisy in our room, late night or early morning toilet trips woke everybody.
Would I go back? yes if it was a bit cheaper.

Reviewed 28 March 2010

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in this lovely little hotel. It's a 3 star not a 4 and so I'm really suprised at the some of the negative comments. We found the staff really friendly and helpful, the room spacious and location brilliant for the city centre. However, what made the weekend for us was the quality and presentation of the food in their Olive Tree Restaurant - it was superb!! They have a creative and innovative chef and dinners on both nights was just wonderful. The breakfast was very good too - I couldn't finish it all! We plan to visit Exeter again later in the year to explore more of this wonderful part of the country and will certainly stay at the Queens Court.
