Awh im just back afer a wonderfully relaxing weekend away and what a perfect little hotel to be staying at.

All the staff were extremley kind and attentive from the minute we arrived. All needs were met and more. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and left with a feeling that we would definately return.

Il be making a few more trips to exeter and i've found the place that's my number one choice.

It's at close proximity to shops, resturants and importantly the train stations and what a way to round of a day of shopping with complimentary tea and biscuits on arrival back.

The rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable with all the hidden extras adding to my overall strong impression of this establishment.

I cannot fault the staff as all were mannerly and attentive. Keep it up!!!

A very comfortable hotel, clean and friendly. A kingsize bed and a beautifully finished bathroom added to the enjoyment of our stay. The breakfast choice was large with a very good continental choice which complemented the usual cooked breakfast. The only downside was the lack of parking, although there is a reasonably priced council carpark available. Convenient for walking into Exeter and altogether a good choice for a city break.

This little jewel of a hotel is situated right near the centre of Exeter. I stayed here with my boyfriend after a friend's wedding in Exeter (the friend had booked the hotel, and a great choice!). The bed was very comfortable, shower good and powerful and the room lovely and clean. There was also a number of complementary bits and pieces including a bottle of wine.

The breakfast in the morning was good (a reasonable choice for such a small hotel) and the staff were attentive. It was lovely sitting with the other guests from the wedding the next morning and all enjoying breakfast together.

I would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay and it is in a great position near to the city centre and the main train stations.

I have stayed at Silversprings on business many times since April this year and enjoy coming back here each time. The service is very personal and I am always greeted with a smile! I have stayed in several different rooms here, each with a different colour scheme and all decorated to a very high standard. 1 suggestion I would like to make though, is that they should redecorate around their bedroom windows as all rooms have cracks around the windows where the new windows have been put in (not since April!) and this detracts from the rest of the room. Breakfast is excellent with a varied choice and all very tasty. I would definitely recommend!

What a fantastic hotel. We have stayed in hotels across Europe and this has got to be the best stay that we have had. We booked using the net and got an email reply within half an hour. They kindly worked out our travel arrangements by rail from London and we got a really genuine, warm welcome when we arrived. The staff carried our luggage up to our wonderful en-suite room with a huge comfortable bed, perfect decoration and lovely bathroom equipped with cosy bathrobes. We were brought complementary tea with bisuits up to our room - what a lovely touch which you don't often see elsewhere! The free wi-fi and DVDs were very welcome and the staff could not be more helpful - they bent over backwards. The well tended garden is wonderful, with a beautiful pond and lots of lovely plants and trees. We loved their eco-friendly approach and their multitude of green awards. The hotel was lovely and quiet, so we slept so well every night and awoke to the most amazing breakfast ever. The staff gave us details of great days out in and around Exeter - my wife loved the new shopping centre. It was such a shame when our stay ended - we would have loved to stay on, but they are almost always full and we can see why. If you want to have the most wonderful stay in the Westcountry, you have got to stay here but book well ahead! We will be back next year!

Really small room, no luggage rack or closet, itty-bitty bathroom, queen bed filled most of the room. The hotel must not be more than 30 feet (10m) wide. There is little or no parking and if you can't get in their lot, good luck finding a place on the street. Breakfast area is in basement and cramped. I'm not sure why this hotel is the top-rated hotel in Exeter, as I have stayed in better full-service hotels at about the same prices in Exeter.

We stayed at Silversprings for one night. Arriving by train at Exeter St Davids it was quite a steep walk to the property however once there we found it to be very clean, beautifully decorated and with very helpful staff who carried our bags up the stairs as our room was on the top floor. The room was spacious, had a lovely outlook and all you could possibly want with coffees, teas, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff were happy to mind our luggage until our late departure. Very handy location to the city centre.
