“Fantastic stay”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment for one night. It was fantastic! The apartment was a really good size. Superbly fitted out kitchen. With a lovely lounge, good sized bedroom and bathroom. The location is just perfect as well. You can walk into Exeter in a few minutes, the train station is very close and there are loads of local restaurants and bars to choose from. We could not fault this place.

We spent three nights in the apartment and would have liked a fourth but availability was limited. It was very well situated in the city centre and near the station. The flat itself was extremely comfortable and well-planned, and as the weather was excellent we also enjoyed the outside sitting area. Parking was convenient as well and this was altogether an excellent experience.

Room Tip: The basement/lower ground apartment is probably the most convenient one in the building

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 day break in Exeter staying at the Silversprings apartments in Exeter. We had the "garden" or basement apartment and requested a parking space which is an important thing to do as there is limited parking around.
The apartment stretched the whole floor of the building and had been completely refurnished fairly recently (Nov 2011 I think) and in genreal was in good shape with a few corners and things slightly damaged.
Kitchen was well stocked and equipped should you wish to cater for yourselves. Plenty of room to relax. Good bathroom and separate bedroom.
Fabulous location for seeing Exeter, close to stations , cathedral and 10 minutes from Uni.

Room Tip: Basement is below pavement level and approached from the "front" down steep stairs but the...

Silversprings is right by the town centre, yet on a quiet road. It has car parking but is also only a few minutes walk from Exeter Central station. There are lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking, plus a decently equipped kitchen area in the apartment for when you want to stay in. We rented the large one bedroom apartment (the Garden Room), which occupies the whole of the basement level of this old terraced 5 storey building. We had our own entrances at front and rear, with the front entrance going straight into the bedroom. It is below ground at the front (north) side accessed via a set of stairs leading down from the street. Because of the slope, the rear is only a few steps below ground level and there is lots of light in the rear lounge area (south side). It also has its own parking space.

The apartments are well set up with most things thought of and fitted out with fittings that look good. The bed was large (I think 2 singles with a quilt topper to integrate them) and comfortable. The quilt and pillows were some sort of man made fibre, the towels could have been larger, and we had to provide our own shower gel and shampoo, but these are small gripes when you have a home from home in the City.

We stayed 4 nights, with 1 day largely taken up with the Exeter / Quins rugby match. As first time visitors to Sandy Park, we found it easy to get the train to Digby and Sowton, from which the ground was a short walk. We found the train service worked well so we also used it to visit Topsham. As others have said, it's not far to drive to Castle Drogo, which is worth a visit. The Royal Albert Museum (RAMM) is very close to the hotel (just past Central station) and is excellent, particularly for its visiting temporary exhibits. The best paces we found for cider were the Old Firehouse and the Double Locks. The former is a short walk from the hotel, the latter means driving the car, but lovely on a spring/summer's lunchtime.

Room Tip: The large one bedroom apartment (the garden room) runs all the way through the hotel on the basement...

I selected this Apathotel in rather a rush due to a last minute meeting in the area and based my decision solely on the photo's provided on the website. We all know these photos often show the property in the best light, hiding any blemishes and using wide-angled lenses to produce an illusion of grandeur so I set my expectations at a level that could be managed. To my (pleasant) surprise the apartment was simply spectacular. Clean, modern, a fantastic use a space, so much so I am working very hard to generate some more business in Exeter so I can stay again! The property was a real credit to the owner(s) and the efforts and hard work they had clearly put in. Other perks includes; parking, central location, and unrivalled customer service from from booking to checkout. To those visiting the area, I urge you to stay at Silversprings, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: The garden room has a quaint little seating area out the front and a parking space right outside! th...

My family and I have just spent a FANTASTIC weekend at Silversprings Apartment Hotel in Exeter. We were very impressed with the Apartment, it was very clean and spacious. When we arrived we were met by a lovely lady who explained everything to us. We were situated very close to the centre of Exeter and everything was within walking distance. I would highly recommend Silversprings, the price was very reasonable and it suited our every need.

Room Tip: The garden apartment has its own parking space and small patio area.

Free parking, comfy beds, thick towels, deep settees, well appointed kitchen, orange juice in the fridge, milk, biscuits etc. Only 3 mins walk to Exeter Central station: £6 return on the beach train to Paignton, 5 mins walk to the main part of town and the cathedral. The half hour to Castle Drogo is very well worth it as is the drive out to Totnes, and Berry Head (where the caff is outstanding).
