This hotel was delightful in every way. All the staff were friendly and helpful and did all they could to make our stay pleasant. Our room was newly decorated and and had every amenity you could think of, a pleasure to stay in. Located in the centre of Exeter we could abandon our car in the parking facility provided and were handy to all of the attractions in the town. The breakfasts were wonderful with a great choice and unlimited supply. I really can't find anything bad to say! Would definitely go back there and hopefully stay more than two nights.

Not a 'hotel', due to narrow stairs and small rooms and queue to get breakfast. Also no doors open fully. Excellent breakfasts apart from coffee. generally overpriced, not worthy of the other ratings, but always full!

We stayed in Triple and double rooms and had a wonderful 2 nights stay. The rooms were cosy, clean, equipped with more accessories than you need. Location is right in the middle of the city. The staffs were friendly and serves us efficiently. I will definitely stay longer next time when I'm in Exeter.

I stayed here for two nights, the room I had (number 3) was very clean and decorated to a high standard. The room was not big, cosy more like, but perfectly adequate for me on my own. The bathroom again was small, but clean and fitted to a high standard. We paid £85pn which sounds expensive but I would stay here again as it was very comfortable.

Parking is around the back and I had no trouble getting in/out or finding a space. Its really near to the city centre too so easy to get out to find dinner.

From the moment we booked, the service and professionalism was excellent. We arrived on a cold 'summer's' day, by train and taxi, to a really warm welcome, room not quite ready as we were early, offered hot drinks and nibbles, room was soon prepared and we got settled in for a week. Breakfasts are to die for, the little dishes of fresh fruit are superb as is the 'full english'. We enjoyed every minute of our week. The team are fantastic and we couldn't fault anything. The extras in the room makes one think one is in a 5* hotel. The friendliness and helpfulness of all staff made our stay more enjoyable, the garden and the eco friendly measures are to be envied. Thanks very much. Will be coming to stay again soon hopefully.

A colleague and I had to spend one night in Exeter this month and I'm so glad we chose the Silversprings. The welcome was warm and the staff were all extremely helpful and accommodating - almost every time they saw us we were offered a tea or coffee, and asked if everything was all right!

Our rooms were clean, bright and while the traditional furnishings wouldn't usually be to my taste they were to a high standard, and clearly a lot of care and attention had been put into them. Bathrooms were of a good size, also very clean and nicely decorated, with lots of nice toiletries on offer. In fact, there were a number of 'extra' touches, including a mini bottle of wine, fair-trade chocolate and a TV with DVD player. I had had a very long day, so at the end of it it was fanastic to be able to borrow a film from the hotel's collection (a good selection, too!) and relax. It was also a bonus to not only have free wi-fi in the rooms but to also have access to a computer (in the communal sitting area) in order to check emails, etc.

The breakfast on offer was excellent, with lots of choice - I stuck to continental, but my colleague's bacon and scrambled eggs looked great, and we could have had kippers, smoked haddock and even chocolate brownie!

The only negative point was that because my room faced onto the road (which didn't look very busy but seemed to be a thoroughfare at night!), I was woken a couple of times by Thursday night revellers and then by the dustbin lorry! Obviously not the fault of the hotel owners, but something for light sleepers to bear in mind.

Lovely small town house hotel. Very convenient for the city. Staff were extremely welcoming, courteous and helpful. Room had complementary bottle of wine, fresh flowers, free wi-fi, high quality toiletries. Excellent breakfasts. Small parking area at back but staff helped with this. We arrived early, were made a pot of tea and given cakes to eat in the garden while the room was finished. Service top class.
