Richard and Kay made us most welcome. Location is stunning and so are the breakfasts ! The hotel is spotlessly clean and there is a nice patio area to sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine. A definite for another stay in the future.

Room Tip: All rooms would be good but some overlook the river.

We visited Exmoor National Park after we'd already been traveling quite extensively through the Western part of England. When we entered Exmoor National Park, it was already breath-taking, BUT it became really unforgettable due to the incredible hospitality of Richard and Kay! They REALLY made us feel special, like a real guest, They took very good care of us, where very helpful in determining what sightseeing would be suitable for us and even asking for a glass of warm milk late at night was no trouble to them. They really make an effort to connect, not only with us, but with all guests simultaneously. The food is fresh, day after day, and very well taken care of. When we had to leave, it almost felt like saying goodbye to dear friends. We would REALLY recommend the Heatherville to anyone and we are very sure to go back one day and visit Richard and Kay again! Dear Richard and Kay, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much for making our trip to the UK quite an unforgettable one! Love, Ilona and Roeland.

This is our third visit to The Heatherville Hotel and will not be the last. Kay and Richard are the PERFECT HOSTS and treat you more like family than guests. Rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are wonderfull and set you up for the day. Thank you Richard and Kay,
Love Richard and Sylvia xx

This is our third visit to The Heatherville with friends and it certainly won't be our last as everything associated with this gem of a little hotel is just perfect - in fact we are running out of superlatives to describe it! Kay and Richard are superb hosts and welcome their guests as family, but without being overbearing in any way. The rooms are spotless and extremely comfortable, the breakfasts are 5 star and the cosy bar is a great place to end the day in this beautiful part of the country. The Heatherville is truly a home from home - thank you Kay and Richard for another lovely break. Love Vee and Ken xx

Kay and Richard are very hospitable and made us feel at home. Our en-suite room with sizeable bathroom was very clean, well maintained and had fantastic views of the valley and river. The breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day. My only grump is that the shower wasnt as powerful as I am accustomed to as I am strictly a shower person but my wife thinks I am being very picky. Highly recommended and will stay again.

Room Tip: Room 4 has great views of the river that you can hear with the window open which is most relaxing

We'd gotten lost, it was raining, and we were a bit rattled. Kay gave us directions, and had tea and homemade sweets waiting for us. Their hospitality was friendly and gracious, and we felt like guests.

The room was comfortable and it was a nice, large bathroom. The view down over the river through the trees was nice, and the windows opened wide for lots of fresh air. Although it's on the hillside opposite the village, it was a very short walk down.

Do look at written directions first, though, as the road the inn is up makes a loop and if you miss the entrance to the easier end of the road, which is just across the river right out of town, your sat nav may try to send you up from the other end of the loop road further out of town, which is tougher driving. In the morning, Richard even offered and backed our rental car down the road for us.

In town, we enjoyed going up the funicular and especially walking in the Valley of the Rocks - a must see. A very nice time in Lynmouth!
