“Perfect cottage, perfect location, perfect weekend:)”
Reviewed 18 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The cottage was a real treat, clean and bright and tucked away in a pretty peaceful lane.
The housekeepers had even left a packet of biscuits:)
Booking with owner Paul was an easy friendly experience.
The location was perfect for our walks and close to the pubs for evening meals.
We will definitely stay again.

“Great little cottage, clean, well equipped and cosy”

Lovely property in a great little town. Accommodation was well equipped with all new appliances. Inclusive heating and a nice log fire. Spent two days walking, one to Watersmeet and beyond !, the other to the Valley of the Rocks.

“Nice cottage in a lovely town”

The cottage is lovely - but be warned, you park your car on the street / local car park across the road, then have to lug all your possessions up a steep slope / along a short pebble path to the property! However, the location is peaceful and the cottage itself was very clean and had everything we needed - except for a mobile signal (and wifi)! The smell from the oil heating is a bit overpowering when you first get up in the morning/enter the property after a day out - but opening the front door for a few minutes solved this. Also, the stairs are quite narrow/steep - but this is to be expected in an old cottage like this - just take extra care! Lynmouth itself is a lovely little town and we enjoyed lots of walks from the cottage/town to Lynton / The Valley of the Rocks, along the river to Watersmeet and Countisbury / cliffs etc. Would happily recommend this property to a friend / stay here again ourselves.

“Delightful little cottage”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Had a lovely stay in this cottage with my family, very close to Lynmouth village, ideal walking distance but also very quiet. We couldn't get wifi for some reason but it was not a problem at all. The kitchen had everything even tea, coffee, sugar, tea towels and kitchen roll. The rooms were all very clean. It was a truly delightful cottage and I would recommend it. Be aware that the path leading up to it is very steep and can be a little slippery when wet but there is a handrail there and to be honest if you know Lynton and Lynmouth it has steep roads and paths everywhere but that makes it all the more beautiful either tucked in the valley or high on the cliff top. Would recommend a visit to Watersmeet and if you want to go to the beach, Woolacombe has a huge sandy beach. We loved The Village Inn pub in Lynmouth and ate there 3 nights, good home cooked food.

“best long weekend”
Reviewed 6 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

this cottage was perfect for our family. We took our 18 month old and was a little nervous since she is very active. The cottage came equipped with a travel cot and baby gates which was a huge help for us. The rooms were great for keeping her contained. The only thing I would have improved would be to add baby locks to at least the cabinet with the cleaning products. Seriously had a wonderful time in town. The cottage was at a great location with the parking lot almost just across the street. It's also at the end of a great 6 mile hike to Watersmeet (great cream tea!). Really enjoyed our stay and the owners communicated clearly about payments and expectations. There is poor internet access and cell phone service all over Lynmouth, which was actually really nice to keep us away from the computer. Just go to Lynton for service. And Lynmouth closes up for take aways early. Grad a bite when you can!
