We were visiting Lynmouth en route home, after a touring holiday of Cornwall and Devon. However, with the fantastic weather, and the temptation of a very good price for accommodation, we impulsively booked two nights at the Bath Hotel. We were given a lovely room, overlooking the harbour. Prettily decorated, well equipped, and with a nice, spacious ensuite. There was everything you could want here. Quiet, comfy lounges. A residents bar, and a public bar with bags of atmosphere. We booked dinner on the first evening, and enjoyed great food, beautifully cooked, in a pretty, welcoming dining room. Portions here are large, so no one would ever go hungry. Breakfast was the best we've had all holiday. Freshly cooked produce, served hot on lovely white crockery. Not a trace of fat on the full English. We tried the smoked haddock.....!!! Wow, absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection and served with a perfectly poached egg. Generous portion here too. The staff were amazingly friendly, our welcome was "warm" all round, and the willingness to go the extra mile, was much appreciated by us, as we needed fresh produce accommodated in fridge and freezer........No problem! The position of this charming hotel is wonderful. Really close to the harbour, in amongst the shops, and hotel parking meant we could leave the car and walk to all the local sights. We loved our stay here. Wish we'd found it earlier, and will certainly be back. Would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: We saw two rooms. Both lovely. Suspect all rooms achieve top standard. Room 27 has a lovely sea/rive...

A kind welcome, lovely room, excellent dinner, wonderful breakfast, good position close to the harbour ... what more could one ask for? The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Worth asking for a sea view room. Note there is no lift, but staff will happily carry bags.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view. I had 28 - a twin - lovely outlook.

We have stayed in Lymouth before, it is one our favourite places in the West Country, on a sunny day it is so beautiful. The Bath Hotel is situated right by the lovely harbour and next door to all the little shops, various cafés, pubs and restaurants.

Our room was right at the top with a fabulous view of the harbour, the beach and the coastline beyond, it was clean and comfortable. Tall husband had to watch his head on the sloping ceiling!

The staff in the bar were very friendly and we stayed up and watched the England match until 1pm! very nice atmosphere, would have been better if they hadn't lost!

The breakfast was delicious, lovely selection of cereals and fruit etc, nicely cooked full English.
We would definitely consider coming to The Bath Hotel again, and if you stay in Lymouth the walk to waters meet is a well worth the effort, for natural unspoilt beauty.

Room Tip: 322 has fab view if you don't mind climbing the stairs

We found this hotel 'by accident' whilst visiting Lynmouth and we found a warm welcome from our hosts and a bonus was that they welcomed our little dog too. Beds were comfortable although they only offered twins but a nice touch was a 'doggie blanket'. Breakfast was good and varied. Was good to just walk out onto the main street of Lynmouth although parking was a bit hit and miss but we managed to squeeze into the car park eventually. The staff were friendly and a pleasure to talk to them about the town and its history. Will definitely return to this well run hotel.

Once again Rachel, Lee and all the staff made all 14 of us so welcome including the children and 2 dogs. Food was outstanding as was service, cleanliness and friendliness of all staff, especially Kerry who went out of her way to make everything very special.

Special thanks to the 2 young chefs who made the 70th and 80th birthday treat exceptional!!

We have stayed before and will definitely return again!!

For £35 each we had a double plus single bedded room, a little tired, but with bath. It was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was taken in the bright and sunny dining room and was excellent, freshly cooked, with a continental option, really well served by friendly staff. One group came in at about 6pm completely soaked, on a walking holiday. The staff did all they could to make them comfortable, even putting their boots to dry after stuffing them with newspaper. That's service! Very family friendly.
