Alistair and Emma are warm and welcoming hosts. Their newly refurbished hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. The rooms are very comfortable with thoughtful finishing touches. Reasonably priced. Breakfast is delicious and made with local produce. The hotel is close to restaurants, cafes, pubs, local shops and a car park. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Highly recommended.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place quite by chance and what a find! Alastair and Emma are wonderful hosts. They have created a lovely laid back haven in a beautiful part of the world. The guest house itself is spotless, everywhere! The rooms are spacious and quiet, the beds are extremely comfortable. The decor is tasteful and restful, the breakfasts are delicious (Emma, your breakfast muffins are delicious too! ). On top of all of that the rooms are extremely reasonably priced. The welcome we received from Alastair was second to none and both he and Emma are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them which is extremely refreshing! Also if you're stuck for somewhere to eat or places to visit have a word with Alastair and he'll point you in the right direction. I'd like to wish Alastair and Emma every success in the world with their new business, they're working extremely hard and they deserve all good things for the effort they put in. I'd also like to thank them both for the directions back to the M5 - excellent advice!!! I'll know how to approach it next time I visit you! I do realise this review sounds gushy and you're probably reading it thinking that Alastair and Emma wrote it themselves. They didn't. I promise. The place really IS this good. Try it for yourself and see!

We were made very welcome by Alistair and Emma who sat and chatted to us whilst we ate our home made cakes.
Our room and sitting room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated.
Breakfast was great, with very friendly and helpful service.
Highly reccommended!

We stayed at this guesthouse whilst walking the the Southwest Coast Path. Out of the four guesthouses we visited this one was in our opinion by far the best. Location is excellent for walking and exploring the towns of Lynmouth and Lynton. The welcome we received was very friendly but also efficient, giving us all the information we needed for our stay. The quality of our room was excellent, bed comfortable, decor, linen and towels modern and contempory, no 80's chintz, sky tv a bonus, extras such as spring water, herbal teas and rather nice shower gel and hand and body lotion felt like a real treat. Breakfast was excellent. We paid comparative prices for other guesthouses without this level of service. The proprieters were friendly, informative, and enthusiastic in their business which made us take the time to write this review. Only negative, was there was a bath and hand held shower head. Although the bath was welcome at the end of our walk a quick shower would be better. The owners are aware and actually mentioned this would be changed at some point. Super stay, super hosts, thoroughly reccommended.

It's the first time on my trip experience : the welcome was cheerful when we see for the first time , Alistair and Emma !
The guest house is quiet , the rooms roomy , clean and tidy with a little privatif lounge.
The breakfeast is more than generous and succulent !
Alistair takes time to speak to you with a lot of pleasure, in the morning , and explains you strolls and natural walk to be made and the good plans for evening restaurants.
We passed a fabulous stay ! To recommend to all the nature lovers!
