Ate at this pub whilst on holiday in Exmoor. The food was not awful but not great either, straight out of a freezer I would guess. The young girl serving at the bar was very friendly though. The pub was quite uninteresting with bland decor and furnishing, no atmosphere whatsoever. Wouldnt choose to eat there again as there are much better nearby.

We stumbled upon this little gem, unexpectly. All I can say that the food is excellent, way above average pub grub!!!! The chef is a very sweet modest girl. She should not be modest as her lasagne is pro burly the best I had tasted and the shepherds pie is goog home cooking at its best. Bravo!!! Angel and Nigel.

Visited this pub when we came back from Valley of the rocks and needed a refreshing drink quick. Staff friendly and helpful advising us where to go whilst in the area. Nice cider. We sat in the small, clean beer garden with our dog.

When in lynton with friends, we were on the hunt for food and watering one evening, and went to the Queen's. Having gone in, the decor is clean and modern, but the heating wasn't on (and it was a cold and windy evening, even for May). The service was good, the beer excellent, and we were choosing from the menu when a band turned up to play. The chap proceeded to spend 45 mins saying "one two, one two" over an excessively loud PA system, and we decided to bail out in favour of another pub. However, we did return 3 days later (no band this time), and had a good hearty meal and several pints of ale. Very enjoyable - just check to see if they've got a band booked first :)
