“If you want 5*, this is the place for you !”
Reviewed 2 November 2012

I have actually stayed here twice now and both visits have been perfect.

Lovely warm welcome from Jo,

Rooms: The comfiest beds, beautifully soft bathroom towels with lovely mini toiletries provided, tea/coffee making facilities and even a TV/DVD in the room.

Breakfast: One word......AMAZING !! The full english was cooked to perfection ! It was so filling, we we didn't get hungry again until late afternoon !! Our children were in their element with the choice of cereals, fruits, breads and jams.

Atmosphere: The house is spotlessly clean and freshly decorated. It has a lovely relaxed peaceful atmosphere and we enjoyed playing some board games after the children went to bed. !

Local Area: In the local area there are several pubs and restaurants that have a lovely choices of meals, Lynton Cliff Railway and the Valley of the Rocks we also well worth visiting. Both times we also took the half hour drive to Woolacombe......what a beautiful beach !

Thanks again Jo.....we'll be back...again !!

We loved our stay at The Fernery, Jo was very friendly and helpful, the room was exceptionally clean with high quality bed linen and towels, a great selection of organic teas and delicious biscuits and probably the most comfortable bed ever. Jo's attention to detail and style was evident, with local artists work on the walls and quirky pieces throughout.
The breakfast was delicious with such a selection of high quality ingredients, fresh fruit and even some home baked muffins.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, found it hard to leave and will definitely be returning again soon.

We loved everything about the Fernery! Jo was welcoming and friendly and brought us tea and biscuits on arrival after helping us upstairs with our bags. The room was beautifully decorated and everything was spotlessly clean. Our room had a lovely view out to the courtyard and was blissfully peaceful. The bed was comfortable and you can tell that great care has been taken to provide high quality bedding and pillows, as well as large, beautifully fluffy towels in the bathroom. We had the full english breakfast cooked by Jo herself and it was delicious. This B&B has only recently opened so everything is fresh and new and bright, and the house is full of character and original features. We will definitely be recommending The Fernery to friends and family. Thank you Jo!
