“Lynton/Lynmouth and Exmoor break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2012

My parents were visiting from Greece for a few days and we decided to take a 4-day break in the Exmoor area, to explore the many natural beauties of this region. I did not regret choosing Lee House for our accommodation - we all returned home feeling that we essentially never left: both the rooms we used were excellent and perfectly cleaned daily, our hosts were most hospitable with very good tips for activities in the area and the location of the house was very convenient for a number of short trips in the wider area of NW Devon. Strongly recommended!

Room Tip: The two rooms on the first floor facing the east have a small balcony and offer great views of Lynto...

We stayed for a four night break, and we could not have found a friendlier couple. Caroline and Ken could noy have been more welcoming, The room and breakfast were superb. We will be going back! We would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in that area.
The oak room just down the road is exellant for an evening meal but you will need to make a reservation in high season to get a table.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 6 which was excellant.

Caroline and Ken could not do more to make guests feel like they are VIPs...from the warm, friendly welcome to the thought that has gone into each room, sumptuous breakfasts with the veggie menu matching the quality and range of the carnivorous one (be sure to ask about the "world famous toast"!) and the beautiful guest lounge.
You relax from the moment you walk through their door. They are happy to share their wealth of knowledge of the area and their recommendations for local eateries and places to go ensure that your holiday experience is everything you dared to hope.
The decor is fresh and elegant yet maintains charm and the B&B is wonderfully clean.
The villages of Lynton and Lynmouth contain a wonderfully eclectic mix of shops and places to eat. There are some nice walks for a morning or evening 'Constitutional' and of course the coastal walks and Exmoor on the doorstep for something a little more challenging.
You wont be disappointed if you choose Lee House and I promise you will return more than once!

This is a lovely decorated, immacululately clean B &B.
The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. Ken made a lovely fresh fruit salad every day.
Caroline and Ken were very friendly and helpfull.
We highly recommend it.

Caroline and Ken are incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly. The B&B is lovely with newly decorated rooms, they are immaculately clean. The best part of all is the breakfasts, highly recommended for vegetarians as I usually find this is something I struggle with. Everything is in walking distance (restaurants/shops/beach) and there are some fabulous walks in striking distance. We've stayed in a few of the rooms and they are all lovely, about to book this years holiday here as its a great weekend getaway!

I arrived as part of a group to a warm and friendly welcome from Ken and Caroline.
We were shown to our lovely rooms and made to feel very welcome.
Decor is homely, so you immediately feel relaxed.
I'd been told about Caroline's breakfasts and they were as great as expected!
I certainly will be going back when I can.
Ken and Caroline have made this guest house just right!

Our stay in the "Walkers' Rest Twin En-suite" in last july was perfect. The B&B looks very lovely and the cooked breakfast (with classical music) was perhaps the best ever. The owners greeted us with tea and were kind enough to help us plan a walk in the area, which we enjoyed very much. We were also advised on some restaurants. (We ignored the advise and went our own way, but we shouldn't have!)
