“Superb b & b”
Reviewed 7 June 2013

We have stayed at other b & b's in the area and this is by far the best. Ken and Caroline go out of their way to make the stay perfect. Breakfast was out of this world and highly recommended. A lovely couple who made you feel welcome the minute you arrive. We are looking forward to our next visit already.

Room Tip: All the rooms are perfect, you will not be disappointed.

Had a wonderful relaxing break at Lee House in Lynton. Great hosts, beautiful B&B, in an amazing location in North Devon. We will definitely return and cannot recommend Lee House highly enough. Ken's fruit salad & Caroline's breakfasts were the best start to the day. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable with a cute balcony.

Have stayed with Ken and Caroline quite a few times now and have just returned from another few nights with them. As always spotlessly clean and well run. Breakfasts cooked to order and delicious, with alternatives for those wanting the lighter option. Nicer hosts you couldn't wish to meet. Caroline gave me information about the 'Hestercombe Express' day out via steam train and vintage coach from Minehead. A lovely 'different' day out.
They always find time to show interest and give information when required.
Can't rate this guest house highly enough.
We usually have the room at the top of the house 'Valley View'. It has a velux sky light in the bathroom where the Jackdaws can be seen living in the chimney pots and the stars in the sky on a clear night.....priceless! First rate yet again..don't even consider staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: Have stayed in all rooms over the years and all are to the same high quality. 'Valley View'...

2nd visit as good as the 1st. We had the same room as 1st visit which was spotless, breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Ken and Caroline's personality still shines through dispite all the hard work they put in to make this one of the best B & B you could visit. We would not hesitate in having a 3rd visit and would recommend anyone to stay at Lee House.

Very happy clients,

A really good breakfast, cooked to order with only local produce, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had a spotlessly clean, private and spacious room with its own little patio (The Garden Room), which was nicely decorated too. Caroline and Ken were very welcoming, extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. We followed their advice on which path to follow to the Valley of Rocks, for example, and were blown away by the beautiful scenery. We highly recommend this lovely B&B and would happily go there again.

From the moment of arrival we knew we had hit the jackpot. Caroline and Ken greeted us both like we where some long lost family member and where over the moon to see. What a lovely welcome after a long car journey in the rain.

They have all the time in the world for you. We soon discovered they have an excellent sense of humour too, what more can you as ask for?

The rooms are spotless and have everything you need and you are guaranteed a perfect nights sleep.

The breakfast is excellent, no matter what you chose. I'd certainly go for the fresh fruit salad, its 100% fresh not out of a tin. The cooked breakfast is faultless, perfect thick bacon, tasty sausages etc. I feel I must mention the coffee too, many B&B's offer coffee that tastes of water, not here. The coffee was perfect, so much so we had long relaxing breakfasts talking to Ken and Caroline.

If your wondering what to do just as Ken or Caroline. Ken said you could spend a week here without the car, plenty of walks and things to do. He certainly was not wrong. A must is the valley of the rocks. They are keen walkers so you can be assured there knowledge is second to none.

In summary if your looking for a B&B in the Lynton area then there is only one choice, it's the Lee House. We've been to many and this is the first I actually think people should know about. Hence my first review.

Room Tip: All rooms are perfect.

Would like to thank Ken and Caroline for making us feel very welcome with our short stay.
We were welcomed from the moment the door opened.
Both Ken and Caroline were excellent hosts, very knowledgeable about the local area and had many suggestions for things to do if needed.
The food was first class and varied, the room was clean, spacious and very homely.
All in all the whole experience was excellent and Lee house is definitely well worth the stay, and if we ever visit the area again, there will be only one place we will stay.
Thank you
Kay and Ali
