We agree with everything that's already been said, wonderful, wonderful! We have been visiting Woodlands for at least three times a year for years which says it all. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better Andy and Jo have now provided a newly decorated and refurbished lounge with a variety of board games and books for the visitors to use - brilliant! They have also installed a new staircase from the top floor of the hotel directly onto the Lynway (a walkway at the back of the hotel into Lynton) - great!
With such friendly hosts, wonderful breakfasts and lovely accommodation what else could you want - we will definitely continue to return again and again.
Having said this, it is a steep driveway up to the hotel from the car park and therefore may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Well what can we say about our stay in Lynton. Beautiful area, lovely bed and breakfast and the nicest hosts you could ever wish for. Andy and Jo made us feel like we were old friends visiting them and that is a rare gift believe me! All to often your treated like a cash cow and owners of this type of business show no interest in you at all, but we could speak to our hosts in a relaxed fashion and that really made our break extra special. It helps that the room we had was very, very nice and our breakfasts awesome, but the human touch was special. So a massive thank you to Andy and Jo and we hope to see you again soon and will recommend the Woodlands to friends and family at the drop of a hat.

Room Tip: Watersmeet room is beautiful!!!

We have recently returned from the most amazing relaxing holiday , this was our second visit at Woodlands with the wonderful Jo and Andy. They offer amazing value for money .

The room we stayed in is perfect which was the Watersmeet Room, this is a very large room with a private verandah , we enjoyed sitting here and watching the birds on the feeders in the garden below.

The cooked breakfast is delicious with locally produced products. Well done Jo . And the fruit kebabs are excellent ! Well done Andy

Jo and Andy are the most welcoming couple and made our stay all the more special , the pot of tea on arrival and the lovely surprise in our room , and the kind , helpful emails leading up to our stay, all these extra touches make woodlands the place to stay .

Room Tip: All rooms are good, but for the space and massive bed Watersmeet room .

Andy and Jo were fabulous hosts from the time we arrived to the time we left. The Watersmeet room exceeded all our expectations and the breakfast was exceptional. I would challenge the hotel inspector's to find any issues with this Bed and Breakfast.

Room Tip: The Watersmeet room had been refurbished to a very high standard with fabulous décor, wet room and o...

Stayed for two nights the weekend after Easter and completely felt at home from the moment we walked through the door. Andy and Jo are very welcoming and build a rapport easily. We stayed in the Cleeves room and the wet room is great as is the room itself. Andy and Jo are very knowledgeable on what to do and where to go plus the best way to go, thanks for the advice on the best way to Barnstable Andy. Will definitely be back, veg sausages in tow!! Great sense of humour too.

We were lucky enough to break down outside of Woodland's Guest house. We went in for a cup of tea. Both Andy and Jo took good care of us, and went out of their way to help us with all the car chaos. We were given a tour of the Guest house which was beautiful - we will definitely stay here next time we come to Lynton. Thank you Andy and Jo! Good luck with everything. Jess & James

We stayed for one night over a Easter. Andy & Jo could not have been more welcoming, offering us tea & shortbread in the newly decorated lounge after showing us to our room. We stayed in the Watersmeet room which is tastefully decorated with a balcony & great wet room.

It was a Sunday & Jo talked us through local dining options & booked us a table at the Greenhouse. We were grateful for this help as people were being turned away. It's an easy ten minute walk into Lynton.

On Monday we wanted to walk to Watersmeet & Andy gave us great directions over a very enjoyable breakfast. It is a fantastic walk directly from the guesthouse & back via Lynmouth alongside the river.

Highly recommended - thank you Jo & Andy for being great hosts.
