My husband and I stayed for one night at the end of April and thoroughly enjoyed our visit, returning to work feeling like we'd had much more than a weekend away! The hotel is in a beautiful spot with lots to see/do in the local area. Lovely room with great views (Ragged Jack), very friendly and entertaining hosts, great dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended

We stayed last week for two nights and sampled dinner on the thursday which was excellent as usual though times can be a little rigid. Fine crab starter for me followed by seabass and homemade soup followed by cannon of lamb for my wife. Luxury ice cream for pudding washed down with the local Exmoor Gold ale for me and lime soda for her;complemented by two glasses of dry white. Improvements continue to be made to the hotel and this time we indulged in a superior room with great king size bed with ( potentially) fine views of the welsh coast. Two fine breakfasts included ltasty locally sourced yoghurts, kippers plus scrambled eggs and salmon.
A really relaxing trip thanks to the sustained efforts of Russ and Kerinda.

Room Tip: Room 3 on first floor though our usual classic room overlooking the car park has now been transforme...

We have just returned from a super 2 night stay at the Seawood. Russ and Kerinda are the most friendly hosts that you could wish for. The accommodation was just right. Our room overlooked the sea and was well appointed, very clean and nicely decorated with a view to die for and
we were able to see the sun come up in the morning. We stayed for dinner both evenings as the food was so delicious. Very easy, relaxed atmosphere.A great deal of love has gone into making this a very special place to stay. Lynton is the perfect place for a break and to step back in time for a slower more leisurely pace of life. We will definitely be back.

We came across this little oasis after spending 2 nights in a very sub standard hotel 20 miles away with fourfriends. The sun was shining and we sat on the terrace and enjoyed a light lunch. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and they gladly showed us round the refurbished hotel. We were so impressed that we have booked a two night stay there in September. Can't wait!!

I can't articulate fully how pleased my parent's and I were with Lynton, The Seawood Hotel, and Russ, our host. The location could not have been better. The rooms were tastefully decorated, with a pleasing blend of classic taste and modern comfort. Russ seemed a sincere host and offered us what seemed an ideal balance of friendly hospitality and privacy. I genuinely recommend the hotel and Lynton.

This was a very nice hotel - we chose it for the sea views and modern decor. Russell and Kerinda were very friendly hosts and the beds were very comfortable and great breakfast. Don't think you could do better in Lynton. Very peaceful location but very convenient - There is a path through the garden that leads to the funicular railway and straight into Lynton - 2 mins max and you can walk straight out of the hotel and be on the path to the Valley of Rocks.
