We have stayed at the Seawood Hotel for up to half a dozen times over the past few years which, in itself, must amount to a recommendation. Our liking for the hotel and our return to it repeatedly have been based upon a number of favourable factors: its location, its furnishings and cleanliness, excellent food and, above all else, the warm welcome and first class service from Kerinder and Russell and their staff. Now that the proprietors have updated the bathroom and shower facilities in all the bedrooms, they have surely created a holiday stopping place that is second to none. Without doubt, it has our highest recommendation for a hotel of this size.

We stayed at the Seawood for a week on Half Board. Room 11 although a little small had double aspect sea views, a very comfortable bed and a newly refurbished luxury shower room. The food was excellent with wide choices at each meal, complimented by always being cooked to order and made from quality fresh local ingredients. The hotel has easy walking access to Lynton and the cable car to Lynmouth. Highly recommended.

We have stayed in many hotels over the years and can honestly say that my stay at the Seawood surpassed my expectations. Check-in was smooth, the room had the most lovely french antique furniture and I felt very looked after. The evening meal was delicious. Fresh fish and chocolate fondant. Kerinda and Russell looked after us and we cant wait to go back!! Highly recommended

Stayed at the Seawood with my wife and 2 daughters on Fri, Sat, Sun 23 – 26 July.
The hotel, being well positioned along the north walk had a good ambiance, was nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was top quality as was the evening meal. The Spanish waiter was excellent – very professional.
We were made to feel very welcome by the owners Kerinder and Russell – this made the whole stay very enjoyable!

Yes the hotel does come with a Spanish waiter (Alberto rather than Manuel) and yes he was new to the ropes when we arrived (he soon got into the swing of things), but the Fawltyesque similarities stop there.

We have stayed in many great hotels in the UK and worldwide, but this goes down as one of our most memorable hotel experiences bar none. The hotel is in a perfect location on the North Walk with views across the Bristol Channel to Wales and right next to the Cliff Railway. We both loved the property itself which is full of character and is being very sympathetically refurbished by the new owners. However, what made it for us was the welcoming nature of Kerinda and Russ who managed to make us feel like weekend guests in an Edwardian country house (with a modern twist!).

This was a very relaxing break and it left us hungry for more as there is so much to see in the area, even in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. We definitely hope to return and recommend it unreservedly. This is a business that defintely deserves to succeed!

It was such a surprise as a solo traveller to get a double bed in a lovelly new room and bathroom, without financial penalty. Most single rooms are around the back near the boiler, but not here. Kerinda and Russ are brilliant hosts and knew exactly how to make me feel at home, no request was too difficult and all the services came with a smile. The food was really good and always hot.

The hotel is on the quiet Northwalk but just a short walk from town, bus stops or breath taking walks.

Kerinda and Russ thank you for one of my best ever holidays...well done!
