Returning to Lynton after many years, we found Pine Lodge on the internet and it more than lived up to its great reviews. We had room 4 and the quality of the bed, bathroom and linens was superb. The views from the window over the valley were wonderful and we dropped off to sleep to the sound of rippling water. Breakfast was second to none with delicious fresh fruit and homemade yoghurt and a great choice to follow. John and Linda were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble, whether it was changing the feather pillows to synthetic for us or advising on places to visit and eat. We enjoyed 3 wonderful, relaxing days and look forward to a return visit when next in the area. Definitely the place to stay in Lynton!!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the valley have wonderful views

Booked at the last minute and what a great find!
Lovely warm welcome with tea, coffee & cake, and spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
The room was fresh and bright with a lovely view of the valley. The bed was very cosy and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.
The Cottage Inn just at the end of the road does good meals and a bonus was that they offer half-portions - (not our normal choice, it has to be said, but just what we wanted when eating late.)
Really enjoyed our brief stay and would thoroughly recommend Pine Lodge.

We had our 2nd wedding anniversary trip to Devon and booked Pine Lodge from the reviews we had read about it, we weren't disappointed, John and Linda are lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome, they were attentive to all our needs and made our stay so enjoyable. Would recommend a trip to Pine Lodge for anyone, the room was lovely and the bed very comfortable, breakfast was a treat from the fresh fruit to homemade yoghurt and preserves a great start to any day.

Having chosen this guest house based on other reviews, our expectations were high.... and we were not disappointed. From the cake and cuppa on arrival to the home-made biscuits in the room, the many little extra touches make this a very special place. With the softest, whitest towels and bedding of any place we have stayed in the past, and fabulous views from the front, Pine Lodge is a delight.

Lynda and John are super hosts. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they go out of their way to help their guests.

The area has some very steep hills so Pine Lodge is more suited to walkers and to those, like us, who use the location as a base for visiting some of the other beauty spots in the area, rather than for families or the less mobile.

We will definitely return before very long.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front are lighter and have views of the valley.

Stayed her about ten years ago and was perfectly satisfied with the place therefore when looking for somewhere to stay again in Lynton/Lynmouth area I looked at the reviews by fellow reviewers!!
To be honest I thought that they must have been written by the owners as they were all so glowing however we had a wonderful 2 days and can't wait to go back. From the initial welcome with tea and wonderful lemon drizzle cake to the breakfast of fresh fruit, home made yogurt various cereals and cooked English breakfast. The rooms are light and airy with HUGE beds( I needed the phone to be able to communicate with my wife on her side of the bed)and the fluffy towels put the large hotels to shame...I hope that the owners stay here for many years and keep up the good work.....I should add that the location is second to none.....so peaceful and beautiful views.

This wonderful B&B really has it all. Comfortable bed, large cheerful rooms, everything spotless, good location and, when we were there, lovely sunny weather. Breakfast was fresh and varied menu. Linda and John were perfect hosts and took the time to answer all our questions about the area and all it had to offer. Loved it so much we stayed an extra day.
