Just spent 3 nights at Pine Lodge & found it a very pleasant stay. Lovely & clean with very friendly & helpful hosts. Did have a bit of a problem finding it as we didn't know the area, but a quick call to proprietor & he met us in Linton car park & we followed him in. Our well equipped B&B rooms included a separate small TV lounge & nice sized bathroom with shower/bath,which we thought fairly priced at £240 for 3 nights in July, including a good choice for breakfast. Good pub in easy walking distance at the bottom of the rather steep drive, but this has to be good exercise after eating rather more than we would normally eat in the evening !!!! The only drawback being the lack of much of a view except trees, not unpleasant but no real distant views, but then we weren't there to spent much time looking out of the window. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Pine Lodge during the second week in July with my wife. As soon as we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice!

John and Linda were absolutely lovely. They were welcoming, extremely helpful and friendly and were more than happy to help with anything if necessary. We were even provided with tea and cake upon arrival, which was delicious.

Pine Lodge is in such a lovely position with great views. There is a car park provided at the front of the property, which was very useful and meant that we could walk instead of driving.

There is also a lovely pub (The Cottage Inn) which is a two minute walk away, It was not only handy as it meant that we did not have to travel too far, but the food was lovely. It is family run and the owners and the service they provide is fantastic.

Our room was large, modern and comfortable and most of all very clean. John and Linda seem to have thought of everything and even provided homemade biscuits to accompany the tea and coffee making facilities.

A variety of breakfast choices were provided, ranging from a full English to homemade yoghurt and fruit. We tried various different things and were extremely pleased whatever we had.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Pine Lodge and would recommend it to anyone. It was much more than we expected or would have asked for.

We would like to thank John and Linda for making our stay in Lynton simply wonderful.

I came with a friend for a couple of nights and stayed another night because we were having such a lovely time there. The owners are very welcoming and professional, they were really knowledgeable about the local area and took time to help us with planning our days out. The rooms were spotless, really beautifully decorated and you can hear birds and the river outside your window. Very peaceful. Town and the beach is a short stroll through the woods and you are out of the way of the touristy places. The breakfasts were incredible.. everything you could want from a guesthouse. I would thoroughly recommend it!!! Hope you enjoy your stay ;)

Room Tip: We had a double room with purple birds and butterflys which I thought was beautiful and it was facin...

My friend and I stayed for 4 nights in June when starting the South West coast path walk. Everything about our stay was excellent. Our room had generous single beds and a captivating view over the valley 'thou sadly we didn't see the deer. Home made yoghurt was delicious as was all of breakfast. The proprietors were supremely hospitable and interesting and their friends who were staying during our stay gave us a lift to the start of one stage of our walk programme.

Room Tip: Worth having a room with a view over the valley

My fiancee and I stayed for 4 nights on the second week of July. We stayed in an extra king size room with beautiful views of the valley. The bed is very comfortable, breakfast delicious and the hosts were amazing, great hospitality. They showed us the best beaches/places to visit and places to eat and were great in helping to organise a surprise birthday treat. Definitely recommended!

A beautifully situated guest house on the picturesque north Devon coast below Exmoor. Excellent for relaxation or exertional pursuits.
Very friendly proprietors providing comfortable and clean accommodation.
Our mattress was too soft for my preference but this is individual of course.
Good place to escape from the tyranny of the mobile phone!
