“Mussels to die for!”
Reviewed 28 October 2012

We came upon this restaurant as we scoured the harbour for a place to eat, so no chance to book. It was a Monday evening so fortunately there were tables because this was a FIND! The atmospere is lovely - overlooking the harbour and lots of glass and pretty lighting. It is very contemporary and we were made very welcome. The waiting staff were courteous, efficient and helpful. The food came on all different types and shapes of white plates and was beautifully presented. It was also DELICIOUS and the Mussels Devonaire were the best I have ever tasted (and I know my mussels!) - big, juicy and full of flavour. We arrived wanting to eat fish and were not disappointed by any of the meals we ate. Will make a bee-line for this restaurant next time we are in Plymouth.

“Poor service and food”
Reviewed 24 October 2012

Menu was poor staff inattentive. At end of the meal when coffee ordered staff eventually were sent out to buy milk for the coffee! And it was not late at night. Lovely setting - but really needs work.

“Absolutely lovely!”
Reviewed 23 October 2012

As something of a "foodie" I like upmarket cuisine in a nice setting, especially when celebrating an event, and have certainly found an ideal at The Glassblowing House. The setting is very pleasant and the restaurant light and airy. The waiting staff were pleasant, efficient and discreet. The food was lovely if a little expensive but you get what you pay for and I was happy to pay! Looking forward to going again to celebrate my birthday next month!

“Great setting, food and atmosphere”
Reviewed 19 October 2012

This was the first time that we had visited the restaurant and were very impressed from the delicious meal, to the atmosphere and the service we received while we were there. For the quality of the food we found the meals to be great value for money. We did not have to wait long to be served or for our food to arrive. The staff were attentive (but not in your face) and very polite. It made our birthday lunch enjoyable and memorable.
