They don't only sell tea......... We had crab salad and cheese omelette and chips - it was delicious. Saw someone else having the cream tea and it looked scrumptious - lots of cream and jam. Restaurant is located off the Barbican front but do follow the signs to it - it's only a few steps away! They have a garden at the back which is a little suntrap and very quirky with all the old buildings around it. Do visit!

My husband and I often pop in for breakfast as we live in Plymouth and sometimes feel like getting away from the norm!! Such a quaint and welcoming place, excellent food and wonderful service, what more can you ask for. If the sun is out, that is a real bonus, they also have home made cakes, I am sure at some stage we will work our way through the delights on offer!! Just charming.

If you want tea, cake, sarnies etc. in an informal traditional setting then this place is Ok. Sufficiently off the main tourist drag to be quiet and easy going. Not really justifying 5*s in a city restaurant listing.

Beautifull little tea room next to the Elizabethan Garden on the Barbican. Lovely enclosed garden to enjoy on a sunny day. Extremelly friendly staff who make it feel like home from home. They have highchairs which is great to know & are animal friendly so next time i can bring Sammy! We had a cream tea which i have to say is the best i have ever tasted & the chef bakes all their cakes including those tastey scones! Thank you for the treat!
