Description: Been a daytime snack bar built into old cliff face. Now advertising widely as offering full meals with new chef and open till late evening. A novelty facility in this area. Mixed reports of the food and the weather proofing. Needs comments.

We had a chicken burger, caesar salad and pear and fig salad. The menu was good, the food lovely and well presented. A little pricey but the view was so nice it was worth it. The staff were a little rough around the edges this is definitely a cafe, not a restaurant, but pleasant and helpful.

This cafe is right on the Hoe sea front so amazing views out to The Sound and Drakes Island. Good coffee and HUGE slice of carrot cake. Only reservation is prices are a bit steep, nearly a tender for two coffees and cakes. Very pleasant spot to rest and refresh, though.

The Terrace Café has one of the best views in Plymouth but unfortunately it ends there. We visited at 11am on Friday morning and were told that the breakfast had finished although we could still have a bacon, sausage and egg roll??? We were then charged a hefty amount for a roll or Panini and a drink. The food (some of it cold) arrived at different times, so some of our group had finished before the others in our group's food had even arrived and we had to go and find our own cutlery and sauces. The ham in the cheese and ham Panini's looked like a very cheap spam type of meat and had a taste of a grill that hadn't been washed for a while - the chips also tasted the same and were cold and greasy. I have eaten here many times and am disappointed that they have bumped up the prices in the last year whilst the food portions have got smaller and are served with little care. This is still a lovely place to go for a coffee or glass of wine but we will no longer be eating here.

We visited this cafe yesterday for a snack for lunch. First visit but we will not returning. Food took ages to arrive and then we never received my son's kids meal. On checking it appears that it was never ordered but we had paid for it. Staff not very helpful, very expensive. £1.90 for a can of drink.

A nice setting overlooking the Hoe, but overpriced drinks and food. Also very disorganised. I ordered a salad which, after an hour, I was told had been given to somebody else. A friend overheard someone in the kitchen saying they'd "forgotten" about my order. Either way, not too impressed.
