Had a crab sandwich, and 3bacon baps. Lots of bacon on the baps and generous portion of crab. Lovely setting and great service from the staff.

Ate at about 11am on Saturday morning, BLT and scrambled egg on toast. Lovely and good value. Wonderful views and very helpful staff. In the summer there's plenty of seats outside with children and dogs welcome.

This is the second time we've been here and once again we are extremely happy with both food and service. The location is stunning and the building itself small, tucked away, and quaintly furnished like an old boat house. Very warm and cosy atmosphere - and dog friendly. My other half said his fish and chips was probably the best he'd ever had in a restaurant, and my seafood chowder was creamy and full of fresh fish. Cream tea to finish - perfect. Now to walk it all off along the blustery hoe!

I am always cautious about restaurants with a fabolous location. This place has got one the best views in tows nonetheless is an honest place where decent food can be consumed.
Of course when the sun is shining the value of this cafe is doubling. Ok

A small cafe situated between Plymouth Hoe and the Barbican, I have eaten at Duttons several times before. There is a good menu, including Vegetarian Fish & Chips - pieces of Halloumi cheese fried in a crispy batter! As a vegetarian of over 30 years, this is a lovely addition to a menu. The staff are very friendly, efficient and the meals reasonably priced. Dogs are also welcome but the staff do check with other customers before allowing a pet to come in. Dog biscuits are situated next to the mint imperials when you leave! From an ice cream to eat as you wander along the historic Plymouth Hoe, to a 3 course meal, Duttons will not disappoint. I visited earlier this year with a friend who had travelled the world several times in her working life and lived for many years in Spain, and she said that the Calamari was the best she had ever tasted.
