“Excellent apartment”
Reviewed 21 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Stayed in Apartment 23 the agent Becky was always available for advice and was very helpful. The apartment is great, very clean with every modern amenity and secure parking. It is in a great location very close to the city and the Barbican. The bedrooms are clean and well presented with an en suite and a main bathroom. The lounge is modern and well equipped with wi fi and tv with DVD and surround sound. The kitchen is well quipped with all applicances. There is a small supermarket very close to the apartment for essentials and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The collection of keys and arrangements for departure were easily sorted with Becky and we will come back to this apartment again. The apartment was exactly as advertised and I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

Liked best: Modern clean apartment with great wi fi and tv with surround sound.

“Excellent loaction....”

Sutton view offers an ideal loaction for those wishing to attend theTheatre or Barbican restaurants. Having stayed at the apartment a couple of times now the surround sound Tv always impresses. A home from home feel to the apartment instantly relaxes you after a long day travelling.

“Great location with parking but let down by cleaning and maintenance”

We choose this property primarily for its location and the advertised secure parking. The location is great, a few minutes walk to the Barbican and a few minutes walk to the shopping centre. This is a modern apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1 being en-suite. The property was misrepresented as it was advertised as having secure parking (see below) and we were told, following a specific request about the size of beds, that they were king size whereas in fact they were small doubles. We subesequently found an the agent's web site that twin beds were applicable?? Access was difficult as the codes provided by the agent were incorrect having been changed, according to a resident, several weeks earlier. The cleaning of the property was very poor with some surfaces not having been cleaned for many months plus debris on the floor behind the sofa. There was mould growing near the taps in the main bathroom. The small balcony had two dirty chairs plus one very rusty table and had not been cleaned for some time. The main light in the bathroom was not working, this was fixed the next day but one of the 3 lights in the kitchen area was not fixed at all despite the broken bulb being collected on our 2nd day. The oven was filthy and with a broken temperature control plus with no microwave being provided we were limited to the gas burners on the hob unit. The fridge temperature control did not work meaning that the bottom of the fridge either flooded with water or iced up, one drawer in the freezer would not opemn asi the freezer had not been deforsted for some time, the dishwasher door was broken and there was problems viewing the television either due to the TV itself or aerial problems. Whilst there was parking, the secure access, according to residents, had not been working for many months and this gave rise to 'problems' in the car park. In some ways it was convenient that the secure car park doors were not working as the fob to operate them was not provided. Unauthorised vehicles certainly made access to our parking bay difficult at times. We invited to agents to view the property on our arrival but they declined and following our complaint on return seem to feel that the apartment was satisfactory so can only assume that they have very low standards. With this in mind I would not consider staying at any other property they represent.
