“Poor value for money”

National Marine Aquarium

I visit with my wife and 3 year old daughter entrance was steep at 45 pound to put into perspective we all got into drayton manor Park and zoo last week for 40 pound which was a full day of rides and zoo.

We spent no longer than 2 hours in the attraction. The displays are good the young staff friendly and knowledgeable and a credit to the attraction.

My biggest gripe having paid to get in already a additional charge is made to use the soft play area, this was not clearly stated on all the signage and as you know if your child has seen it your pretty well committed.

An expensive mistake on my part we won't be repeating.

Thank you for your review.
We are sorry that you found our Aquarium to be of poor value. We are a marine conservation charity, and every penny from visitor tickets benefits the Ocean in the education, conservation and husbandry work we do. We also offer a free annual pass to every visitor to return as much as they like within a year. Your feedback on soft play has been passed on to the team and we will take it on board as we progress as a charity.
It’s great to hear that you spoke with and appreciated our host staff, they work hard to inspire visitors on marine conservation.

Great day out with young children. Can spend a good 2-3 hours. Restaurant a bit expensive, but still good. Great views - will be coming back soon.

This is a good few hours but don’t expect a day out. Have been to lots of sea life centres and it is very similar. Good size tanks though so hope the fish enjoy.

Excellent display areas and lovely variety of sea-life. My granddaughter wanted to find all the characters from SpongeBob which she was delighted to find! The large tank with all the sharks was breathtaking .Also very interesting talks.
