We chose this pub for our lunch as the outside was in the sunshine - unfortunately this was the only bright spot! The taps in the ladies are the wrong size for the sink - impossible to place your hand under running water so doesn't say much for hand hygiene. 2 halves of diet pepsi cost £2.80 and tasted disgusting. I returned them to the bar but was not offered a refund. We left!

We recently booked out the three crowns function room for free ! and Martyn the chef was wonderful, he could not help us enough. He reassured throughout and went through the plan with us, he let us come in and decorate the room and we even had our own private bar! He put our cake together and even sorted the music. We had a buffet which was everthing we expected and he even did gluton free for us.
We went down stairs late on and were welcomed by the bar staff and had a good dance! it was great and I would highly recommend this pub not only for the nice room upstairs but the chef martyn and the bar staff down stairs were loveley.
Brilliant we were sorry to go home! A proper pub !

I have frequently used the 3 Crowns during the day and evenings over the week end...It is a busy lively local pub with good live entertainment.

I especially enjoy the food since the new cook arrived in Feb 2013 gives good value meals which are appertising (I especially like the new chicken piri piri it was delicious the best I have tasted) and the cook is very helpfull and friendly. Good family service during the day my kids love it!! Also the carvery on a Sunday loce the spuds and gravy just like my mother used to make...

Always go to this pub for Sunday lunch when we are in Plymouth. The staff are very friendly . Three choices of meat from the carvery. Couldn't fault it. Sensible price too.
