We liked it. The kids loved it. It's a very different formula than we have encountered before. The food was very good and sensibly priced. There was a general if slightly studied and earnest air of fun. We entered into it all and had a good time. We would recommend it but unless you were living in RWY or were on one of the few berths in the basin I doubt you would come back. Parking here is a living nightmare.

I would definately come back here again. Just loved the very 'relaxed' experience, even though it felt initially a little alien to me. Preconceptions of a usual eatery were out the window and I fully welcomed this new way of informal dining. Absolutely fabulous and will be back just as soon as I'm in plymouth again. Thank you very much. Defo recommend the Eccles cake, hhhhhmmmmmmn lovely !!!

We recently visited the bakery after recommendations from friends. We went for a late breakfast and the toast and jams were gorgeous but the coffee was undrinkable. We found the staff were more interested in talking to each other than dealing with us and came across a little surly which prevented us from complaining about the coffee... Stupid I know but felt a little uncomfortable. Perhaps it was an off day so we will go again but it was a shame we felt like this.

We have been twice this week to The Bakery for breakfast, its so good!. Our grandchildren love being able to cut their own bread then put it in the toaster. Being able to go back and do as much toast as you want is a real winner too. Their butter, jam and peanut butter bowls on the tables for you to help yourself is a really good idea.
The children enjoyed being able to see the baker making the bread and putting it in the big ovens.
We intend to return for lunch one day as other customers told us its great, but that makes it a difficult decision, 'do we go for breakfast or lunch?...or just stay for the day..!!
