Good for a visit for Sunday Lunch. Plenty of choice of meat and vegetables, lovely gravy too. Shame the plates are not a little bigger, which I know would only make people eat more but it would be nice to space food out a little.

Large building on part of old RAF Mountbatten site overlooking the mouth of the Cattewater. Nice enough easy going mid market pub with good selection of keenly priced standard pub fare and fair selection of drinks. Good place to bring granny and or the kids. Plenty of views across to the Citadel and the Barbican. Grassy areas for a run about outside and for eating when it's warm. Don't miss walking along the pier for the best sea level views of the Sound and it's activity. Accessible by boat, less so by car with a tortuous trek around Laira Bridge, Billacombe, Plymstock, Hooe, Turnchapel and down into Mountbatten. Prefer it to the Bridge over amongst the water and marina area which in my experience tends to be snooty and a bit pricey for our needs.
