While I find this pub serves above average food and the staff all come over as good humoured and friendly I am put off by one thing! SMOKERS!!! While this is not a reflection on the 'Kings Arms' perse I feel that any pub that lets it's smokers stand outside the front is a very poor advert, first impressions etc, also when the weather is less inclement (UK?) they seem to stand more in the porch than out and this will leave a rather smelly odour which is unpleasant. If any pub takes the time to provide a designated smoking area; as I know this one has, then those who choose to smoke should use it, as we all know smoking is becoming less and less acceptable and for good reason and those who choose to partake should accept the boundaries.

Stopped in here for an evening meal after a day out on the water. Very impressed with the friendly staff. As title says, great food at good prices always goes down well. Will definitely return soon.

Not been here for a while and the place has changed hands since l last visited. Went with friends.
Being Sunday they do a nice roast and my Aunt and sister had a small portion, which turned out to be quite large. l had the largest Caesar salad ever with what seemed like two chicken breasts.
I had intended to have something light. but ate it all. Then my sister and l decided on ice cream, again 3 large scoops, plus cream, next time we will share. The place was quite busy despite it being a wet day, some looked like regulars. Quite a large varied menu of main meals and snacks all reasonably priced. This place is near the South West coast path, so you could stop off on route. Plenty of walks locally too. The service was good too. Will return.

Visited on a weekday lunchtime with several friends. We all had a different meal, arrived quickly and nice and hot. Good sized portion, priced well but very basic. Nothing special, filling but lacked flair. Would go again but for the company and location rather than food. Clean pub with nice decor.

Fantastic good old fashioned pub, somewhere warm and friendly with great staff. As a couple we have tried most of the Plymstock pubs including the dire odd wheel at Wembury and the Kings Arms is by far the best. Terrific food and great value for money
