Just across the road from premier inn it seemed worth a try especially as it was highly rated on TripAdvisor.
The food was fantastic and the service was relaxed and friendly.
We tried something different to our usual choices (which can backfire) but they didn't disappoint. We really did enjoy our meal and would definitely go back next time we're in Plymouth.

We've been here a couple of times when staying in Plymouth for work and both times the food has been authentic and delicious, served by attentive and friendly staff, it's genuinely one of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten in.

Went to the Mombay (it's actually called the Bombay) Brasserie this evening after reading the reviews on this site.
We were very disappointed - the food wasn't anything different from other Indian restaurants in Plymouth. We had Chingre safarni and lamb chat ..both were very spicy and aren't usually served so hot ...I had a pint of water with the starter!!
The mains were ok but nothing out of the ordinary
Drinks were very expensive - £4.95 for a 640ml bottle of Tiger beer.
I don't think we will Bother again

We have used this restaurant many times in the past and also for special occasions or business dinners, this has got to be the best Indian in Plymouth.
Having dined there many many times i can say we have never been let down. The menu is extensive, but if you can't make your mind up the owners wife who is the main chef will cook something you request. There isn't another indian who can do a Nargish kebab starters like this restaurant - one of a kind. The food is always of a high standard and combined with a quick and friendly service, nothing is too much trouble, You can stay all evening if you wish as your not rushed out once you have finished the meal. A very relaxing atmosphere combined with great food.
