This lodge is a haven of peace for those visiting family in Derriford hospital. It's run by a charity and they are lovely.
Um I should have followedthe map not sat nav which wanted me to go in through a tiny lane. Go in through the science park from the main road. There are bollards at the end of the lane so it is only a short walk to the hospital.
The room rate for a single is just under £40 a night and you make your own breakfast - cereal, fruit, toast, tea and coffee. If you are staying there and need evening meals there are cooking facilities and you can buy frozen meals from the freezer on an honesty system.
The rooms are premier inn//travel lodge standard with en suites, flat screen TVS and I think wifi. It was scrupulously clean and the volunteers are lovely. There is a lounge and decked terrace. The visitor's book showed some people don't like firm beds but I had the best night's sleep since my son's accident. I can't thank the lodge enough for being there.
The lodge can arrange laundry and taxis.
