“An excellent stay with great staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

Spent a great weekend here for a family reunion ( and my husband's birthday!) in Plymouth. The staff were all very friendly and helpful ( particularly Tom!) - even sending, by special delivery, the mobile phone that my ( getting older by the day!!) husband managed to leave in our room. It actually arrived the next morning at the address we were staying in after our stay at Lockyers Quay!

Room was very clean, bed comfortable, and location ideal - good to be able to sit outside and have a drink in the sunshine on the waterfront when we arrived.

Room Tip: Asked for - and got - a quiet room on the first floor, with a view of the waterfront ( or as much of...

Stayed for 2 nights when working in Plymouth. Hotel situated in great location and allows access to the barbican, the hoe and the city centre within about 10-15 mins on foot.
Staff really friendly and room was spotless. Check in was faultless - this is the 3rd hotel I have tried in Plymouth when working and definitely won't need to find a fourth!

The staff were friendly and helpful and the room clean and comfortable. Importantly the promise of quietness and good sleep guarantee worked for myself and young grandson. I would certainly stay there again.

My daughter and I booked in here for four nights. As always when we visit a premier inn, everything was clean, well presented and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel is in the perfect spot, and within walking distance of The Barbican. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Our last night was quite a dilemma though, the fire alarms went off and woke us from a deep sleep, and we had to evacuate the buildings.....someone trying to have a sneaky fab maybe. It would have been nice though if a member of staff had come out to tell us all, many of us still in Pj's with little kids stood in cold wind and rain, what was going on. And again it went off several times around 7.30am. But premier Inn stuck to their price promise and have refunded us a nights stay. So we where more than happy. And after all it wasn't Premier Inns. Another little gripe. My daughter drinks decade coffee in the evening. But this hotel would only give it to us if we asked at reception. We did leave a note asking if we could have it during our stay but no luck. My daughter had to trek down every day to ask for decade satchels. Not a usual thing during our stay at other Premier Inn. So not for these two little gripes I would have given five stars. I would however stay here again. I really enjoyed my stay.

Room Tip: We stayed on the ground floor, right at the top end. Quite a trek from reception but much quieter.

As a regular premier inn user I wasn't disappointed by the standards, the hotel is lovely, very clean and very welcoming friendly polite staff it's right on the harbour as well which is a bonus.
The rooms are very comfortable, I like decaf coffee and unfortunately I had to keep asking reception as when I left a note for the cleaners nothing changed but it is unusual for a premier inn not to have a selection of coffee. I stayed for four nights in total and had wonderful night sleeps UNTILL the fire alarm decided sits going to go off at 2230 and we all end up going outside in the freezing cold & rain with nothing but our pj's and no member of staff telling us what was happening, once i finally got back in the room when I did try and sleep I had a group of customers above me that sounded like a party of elephants bouncing around till the early hours. Then the final wake up call comes when the Fire alarm starts blaring out and woke us up in the morning then stopped then started again and them stopped.
When you have a 5.5 hour drive ahead of you things like this don't help.
Aside from the hiccups, the hotel is fantastic and well worth a stay.

Room Tip: Ground floor rm 25, bit of a walk but out of the way from noise.

My hubby and I stayed here as we were heading off to Dartmoor Zoo to meet a tiger.

The hotel was what we have come to expect from a Premier Inn - clean, welcoming, good sized room, comfy bed and friendly staff.

Simon on the front desk was fab - happy to order taxis, get us extra milk and just be an all round nice chap.

The breakfast was served in the Table Table restaurant at the opposite end of the car park.. good, hot breakfast cooked to order, plus as much toast, tea, crumpets etc etc you could ask for. Friendly staff and prompt service.

If we ever return to Plymouth we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
