We wanted to break our drive down to St Ives and thought we would have a look around Plymouth, having not been there for a number of years. I like Premier Inn hotels as their rooms are very comfy, spacious and well thought out (plugs sockets and mirrors in the right place, good tv and very comfy bed and pillows - the choice of a firm pillow is a winner for me). Lockyers Quay was full on the night of our visit. Room 32a was allocated to us, over Reception and cut off from the other rooms, which was a bonus as we didn't suffer disturbance from other hotel guests. We expected there to be some outside noise, the website makes it very clear that the hotel is on a busy road - we did hear noise from a night club over the road, actually not the club itself but their patrons making a lot of noise as they left, but we just put some cotton wool in our ears and went back to sleep. The fact that you don't have to check out until noon was a real winner too, and breakfast was served until 11am on the Saturday morning we left - al you can eat whether or not you have the full breakfast as my husband did, or the continental breakfast i enjoyed, Plenty of cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurts, cakes, crumpets and limitless tea, coffee and juices. There were some issues when we arrived with a lack of plates and cups but i guess a lot of people fancied breakfast at 9.30am that day. All in al, it was a great stopover an I would certainly use a Premier Inn again.

Stayed for two nights to watch the National Firework Championship.
The room was very clean, fresh and a good size.
We had a front room on the 1st floor overlooking the car park and with the window open and the cool air the room was perfect. Very quiet.
3rd time we have stayed at this hotel and will be back again.

I'd just arrived at this Premier Inn with my wife and two kids after a very long drive and stormy ferry crossing. We were tired, hungry and tempers were fraying.
The warmth of our welcome, large comfortable room and excellent facilities made us all relax in minutes. The refurbished room now has a massive television which was a great distraction for the children. There's a wide breakfast choice and kiddies eating free is a real bonus.
The reputation of the super-comfortable bed is still very much intact, although I preferred its non pillow top predecessor. That's just my personal choice. This is a good place for people who like peace.

Just returned from a three night stay at Lockyers Quay, room was spotlessly cleaned every day, reception staff were well on their game & efficient, + plus the free 24/7 parking was a godsend as parking in Plymouth is difficult & very expensive.

The onsite Table table pub/restaurant is good, the menu/service/cost is OK & a just a short walk across the car park.

Room Tip: As has been said before this hotel lacks air conditioning & although it didn't affect my vis...

Our stay was excellent, staff appeared happy in their work and happy to provide assistance.
The Hotel is very centrally placed for the town, Hoe and the Barbican. The free parking facilities are very good, unlike many other Plymouth Hotels.
Either there is no air conditioning or it was not working. the staff did provide fans without being asked and had them running during the day. This really did keep the room temperature down. The breakfast was good.
we usually visit Plymouth once a year and it is odds on that we will stay there again.

Room Tip: Car park side will be quieter.

This is definitely one of the best Premier Inns we have been to. The room seemed bigger than usual the decor and sheets were new and the bed really comfortable. The staff were lovely and we had a lovely stay!

Room Tip: I stayed in a room next to the road so the traffic was noisy, especially as it was hot so I left the...
