Wonderful location. Great for solo travelers.

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 9 Oct 2016
I stayed in Room 1 - a lovely single room ( most places would have tried to make it a somewhat cramped double ).
It's right on the waterfront, the views are marvelous , the room decoration quirky ( the best of shabby chic, although scrupulously clean ) but exactly right for the building. ( The en-suite shower room is spacious, modern and well designed.)
The staff were unfailingly extraordinarily helpful, dealing with my awkward arrival and departure times and very heavy luggage as if it was a pleasure.

Superb value for money - I recommend it without hesitation.

( It may be off-putting to some people that The Admiral MacBride doesn't offer breakfast. Don't let it worry you - there is a choice of dozens of places within 100 yards.)

Room Tip: Room 1 ( a single ) is great.

Fantastic Location . But stay away from the twin room, Disgusting. Its a very low budget room for back parkers I kept being told when I complained . Drab Smelt musty. Couldn't open window very stuffy. Blankets no quilts. 16 Inch tv. Family had double room with sea view with 32 inch tv. Paid £150 for 2 nights. So how can a budget room cost £130 for 2 nights. Double rooms are nice .Would not have stayed here if I was not with family.

Great local pub with rooms right in the centre of Plymouth very close to Mayflower Steps, Plymouth Hoe & Naval Monuments and great eating places. Enjoyed walking round the nearby harbour and visiting the Gin Distillery

Stayed on a Thursday night for my birthday wanted somewhere reasonably priced and near the Barbican, usually stay in Jurys but they wanted far too much for one night. The pub is in a great location the room was very nice with a lovely view, shower was excellent. The only gripe was and it wasn't the pubs fault but the bed want big enough... I have a very tall husband and because there was a headboard and footboard it was very tight for him, next time I will ask. No free parking until after a certain time in the evening, but nearby parking was safe and reasonable for all night. All in all we would return it is a good alternative stay for us whilst in Plymouth

Nice wooden solid tables. Offering fresh crab sandwiches. I just have nice cornish ale. Nice toilet. Only 3 tables and few chairs outside. Nice view of marina, but for the picture view you have to cross the road.

Room was nice but lacked the fine detail. I hate rooms with bare light bulbs with no shade its like a prison cell. There was a bright green emergency light which was way to bright and woke me up. The location is good but no good if you want to sleep before midnight.
