We stayed here for 7 nights. We paid extra for a front facing room, which was large with a lovely view over the tennis courts and out to sea. The room was very clean but the bed cover looked very old and worn, also did not like having a blanket instead of a duvet, and the shower curtain had mould all round the bottom.

The meal quality varied, several choices for dinner and breakfast and the food was always hot. I had either the fish or the vegetarian for dinner; the fish was overcooked and the veggies lacked taste. My husband had the meat choice at dinner which were all OK, but the fish and chips which he had were poor.

On Tuesday evening the manager was waiting tables. He came to our table and barked at us that we should pre-order our dinner after breakfast. We were never told that we had to
pre-order and would have done if someone had said, but to leave it until Tuesday to tell us, when we'd been there since Saturday, was a bit strange. A quiet word would have sufficed instead of shouting out in the dining room.

Also our table was last to be served every day and twice we were told that they had run out of a particular pudding and we were left with the choice of a pudding and custard or ice cream.

Probably wouldn't stay here again.

We went on a 9 day coach holiday with Robinsons. The hotel was average, the food was ok but only small portions. The beds were not very well made but were clean. The floors throughout the hotel creaked and the bathroom floor sloped downwards at the end. the hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. I dont think we would stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: ask for a room not next to the lift, it is very old fashioned and noisey

The creaking floors in this hotel are a great put off we were awoken every morning at 6-30 by the person above us walking across the floor. The coach driver was really good and well above average as a courier. The bedroom was dated as are most older hotels but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was a good size and had a nice view to the sea. The meals were hot and the waiting staff were pleasant and efficient. The gym and sauna had been removed which was disappointing but not many people used the swimming pool so it would not have been used by the residents. All in all we had a pleasant holiday.

JaUST SPENT 5 DAYS at this hotel with Robinsons.Driver excellent, hotel very disappointing,we paid for a premier room and were very disappointed. The bed covers were awful, old and well worn and the sheets did not fit the bed.The beds were also badly made. The food was nice hebut the the helpings were small, not big enough for a man, particularly the breakfasts which were very small indeed.

Room Tip: Don't pay for a premier room until you have viewed it.

We stayed here on a 3 day KGB break and enjoyed our stay! Our room was really nice with a great view of the Torquay Tennis Centre and a good sea view. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the back ,facing the Tennis Centre and Sea.
