Me and my 14yr old daughter have just got back from Alfa coach holiday to the Cavendish.I was a tad apprehensive having read reviews before going,ok it`s very dated and decor a bit manky but our twin room was clean and comfortable.we luckily had the indoor pool to ourselves one morning which was warm and clean, pity there wasn`t proper changing facilities,i had to wait in toilet until my daughter was ready! i havn`t got the most sophisticated palette so i thought the breakfast and evening meal were fine, its a shame being a family hotel they didn`t have seperate child menu for coach party guests but she didn`t go hungry. The highlight for my daughter was meeting Mark and getting a selfie with him! the only night we stayed in for the entertainment was TorGay night, there was a lot of waiting about for the main act but was worth the wait he/she was hilarious...i think it will make an appearance in the series in Jan.Torquay itself is lovely especially when all lit up in the evenings ,we found plenty to keep us occupied, there is a waves water park 2 min walk away from hotel.overall had good holiday but hotel needs updating.A special mention for Alex our waiter he was great.
