My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and it was excellent. We were well looked after and breakfast was great plenty to chose from. Thank you Nigel & Elvie. I would recommend Cloudlands as a first class hotel.

Sensibly priced , very clean and well furnished rooms . Excellent breakfast prepared and served by caring owners .
Located within a 5 minute walk of Torquay railway station and promenade .
This was a weekend visit . If we return to Torquay we would have no reason to seek alternative accommodation.

We have just come back after spending a very comfortable and lovely 2 nights at Cloudlands. Nigel and Elvie are a lovely couple and have it just perfect as a b & b, even though they are new owners you would have thought that they had been at Cloudlands for years. The room was lovely, spotless and very comfortable with a beautiful beautiful view (we were in room 7). You could not fault their hospitality and Elvie's breakfast is brilliant. It is one of the nicest b&b 's we have stayed in and would definitely recommend it if you are in the area. - Ceri & Tony Roche

Stayed 4 nights at Cloudlands in Room 7, which is a beautiful room with a sea view and extremely comfortable 4 poster bed. Room and ensuite bathroom were spotlessly clean. Bathroom had a bath and shower. The owners Nigel and Elvie were an extremely friendly and lovely couple. The breakfast was delicious, wide variety of choice. I would recommend Cloudlands to anyone going to stay in Torquay, and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Room Tip: Check out the Cloudlands website - all the rooms are on there with descriptions and photos. Very us...

My boyfriend and I stayed here 2 nights as we attended a wedding at the grand - therefore it's a great location for anyone who can't get into the grand!! We paid a bit extra and got a room with space for a sofa and tv, this was a fantastic room - it was really spacious and spotlessly clean. As soon as we arrived we were treated and given our key straight away, there was no fuss and hotel was very quaint. We had breakfast every morning, which was delicious and served very quickly, there was lots to choose from and filled us up for most of the day! I would recommend staying at cloudlands

Room Tip: Pay that bit extra to get the suite - it's worth it!!!

Very close to train station and a short walk from seafront. Parking right outside, close enough to town not to need to drive in and pay for parking. Beautifully clean room with a very comfortable bed. Usually neither of us sleeps too well in a strange location but we both slept very well. The breakfast was a real treat each morning. We had the full English each day and the bacon was superb, sausages were excellent too.We had room 5 which has a TV lounge area and lovely clean bathroom with a bath and shower. Water was really hot. Apparently room 7 is larger with a sea view so when we return (which we will) will try to get that one. There are new owners (Nigel and Elvie) who are very friendly and helpful. Plenty to do around the area. Cockington is well worth a half day visit, as is Kent Caverns. Had some nice food in Torquay, but nothing to write home about really. Good Angus steak in the Green Ginger, but service was lacking. Decent menu in the Thai restaurant, but the wine was rough and £5.75 for a small glass. We will need to research decent places to eat before we go again. We were sorry to have to leave a day early due to family commitments but would highly recommend this guest house to anyone. Would also think it would good for a couple with children.

Room Tip: Apparently room 7 has a lovely view, but room 5 was excellent. No traffic noise. Parking. Quiet and...

We spent three nights at Cloudlands and enjoyed every moment of it. Just a couple of minutes walk from the train station, but with parking too, it's the perfect place to stay in Torquay. The new owners are just fabulous, and made us feel immediately at home. Breakfast was superb - we had the veggie breakfast option which was delicious - and the dining room overlooking the gorgeous garden and with a sea view is such a pleasant place to sit at breakfast time. Our room was spotless and the beds were so comfortable that we rested very well on all three nights. We got excellent value for money and wouldn't hesitate to return to Cloudlands when we return to Torquay.
