Overall, a fairly new hotel, offering clean warm rooms and friendly staff.
Recommend: that if you want to eat there during evening book at the reception or dining room book first as it is a very popular hotel, you might have to wait for 90 mins for a table.

Bar and dinning area, well decorated and roomy. However, breakfast can be a be chaotic because of the amount of people allocated in one space and the slow replenishment of the food.

Overall, great staff, willing to please and always friendly.

Get a sea view if you can as this can be really welcoming as the sea view is lit up at night and looks quite romantic!

Room Tip: Choose a sea view

Great location, right on the seafront and only a short walk from the centre and the ferry. Hotel looks great on the outside and great to have parking. The bar and restaurant facilities are great and it wa nice to have a seperate bar and restaurant. Food and drink great, lots of great offers too for dinner. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles however, it was very busy and the food was not replinished enough meaning we went without many items: food, drink, glasses etc There seemed to be too many people in the restaurant at one time for the staff to cope with. The food we had however was lovely. In fairness however, it was half-term but still, we felt we paid for a breakfast we didn't really get bt the staff were so nice we didn't really want to add to the stress and complain.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great.

The corridors and stair areas felt a little dated and grubby but elsewhere was lovely. Room basic but exactly what you would expect from a Premier Inn.

On going out for the day at the weekend we did return around 9pm to find that we couldn't park. Whilst normally a decent sized car-park, it did suffer from the amount of not just hotel guests but also those simply there for a drink or a meal at the weekend.

I would advise booking any meals in advance, inclyusive of breakfast as the restaurant does get very busy.

Otherwise, a lovely stay, greatf ood and drink and in a fantastic location., If possible, would also recommend asking for a sea view as the streets are lit up in the evening.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.

The hotel is well positioned, close to the beach and an easy walk into town centre where there are shops and restaurants. The car park is large but requires a pass to park in and there is an old and new section to the hotel, try to book for the new section as it is much better, the reastaurant in the hotel is fine but typical of the chain, better to explore the town at least on some occasions

Room Tip: book for the new section

Stopped here for 4 weeks on work and had reel trouble to find fault. Excellent friendly staff good standard of cleanliness and facilities in the room, all in good condidtion.

The only fault i can think of is the restuarant got to busy(when we was there) and unless you booked early could have a 90 minute wait for a table. Sorry thats the only problem i could think off!!

From the moment we arrived to our departure we were looked after by such professional friendly staff. The accommodation and catering were both of a very high standard at a surprisingly affordable price. The bar and restaurant areas were extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated to a pleasing standard making for a very relaxing atmosphere. For a sea front bar, of such quality, a high drinks price would be expected, but no, the drinks cost less than my local pub in Harrow. Our stay was really enjoyable, the sea front and harbour walks were something special. We will be making another visit to Devon in the near future and will without doubt book this great hotel again.

Room Tip: Not sure. Our room on ground floor, 126 was spot on.

Small problem with a member of staff cancelling the wrong booking which meant my stay didnt count towards the reward scheme, No one at the hotel was able to sort this out so i phoned the dedicated phone line at 9am and was promised a call back by a supervisor<still awaiting the call>

Guess its the hotels bar licensing rules but on arrival at midnight after working late myself and a colleague were looking forward to a pint but were told the bar was closed and nothing was open, being a sea side resort hotel i would have thought they would have had a late license ?

Breakfast average and someone is going to burn there hands retrieving the toast which drops into the back of the machine which means you have to reach into it to collect your it, Hope its not a child.

As per other posts paid around £85 with breakfast which is a long way away from the cheap rooms they continually advertise, Maybe if they didnt pay Lenny Henry the rooms would be cheaper :)

Otherwise a normal premier inn experience

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main building as it looks like there is a seperate block in the carpark area

The waitresses Mel and Amy were extremely helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Mel was particulary attentive to our needs in both the restaurant and at breakfast. We enjoyed our stay very much and it was helped by the lovely staff on reception in the bar and in the restaurant, the rooms were very clean and we would thoroughly recommend this place to our friends.

Room Tip: Ask for the new annexe rooms they have just been completed and are excellent.
