Stayed one night and room was clean and well laid out. Cost was £29 which represents incredible value. Hotel restaurant (Beefeater) was also excellent.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The receptionist was very friendly. The room was lovely with great sea views and was very clean and comfortable. It was an excellent first experience of Premier Inn and Torquay and we will be returning. The location is lovely, right on the sea front and a short walk to the town centre.
The only downside was the car park which was full when we arrived, but the receptionist advised us where we could park in the car park and all was OK in the end.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

We paid £29 for a family room which consisted of two singles and one double. Room was allocated in the new building and even had a sea view. Great clean room with hairdryer, tea & coffee facilities. Bathroom great with a lovely shower. Excellent value for money - will definitely stay again.

The budget hotel chain have done great things with the old hotel, added a new wing and Beefeater restaraunt, provided a carpark and gardens. Its location is on the very front of Torquay, adjacent to the Abbey Gardens where it offers sea views and long views over the gardens. A credit to Premier. Our 5 night stay was for our first visit to Torquay in 36 years and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, with helpful reception and bar staff. Although we only ate at the Beefeater twice, the meals were adequate but a little limited on the menu. Our room was clean and well presented ever day, although the clothes keeping space was limited for more than one nights stay. Our room overlooked Abbey Gardens and would have benifited by secondary glazing. Traffic began to make its noise about 6.30 am and we are not used to such an early morning wake-up. Carparking could be tricky to get a space as there was always public use by patrons of the restaraunt. However, we were lucky to get in each night, but it was late October and not high season. Outside had well attended gardens and no evidence of litter. Our stay was at £49 per night and we would not have been willing to pay the regular £79 for a budget range. Having said that, well done Premier.

Room Tip: Ask for Abbey gardens view in the old block, not sea view as they charge £20 more for those rooms. I...

Reviewing a Premierinn is a bit like reviewing a branch of McDonalds. They are both designed to be consistent, affordable & recognizable.

Until a couple of years ago this was an idependent hotel and evidence of this remains - slightly odd layout in corridors and staircases. But the rooms are Premierinn furnished, equipped and modern.

Yes parking is a bit of an issue since the extension in August it was manic but this week I managed to get practically next to the front door.

The staff are friendly and efficient. As for the Beefeater restaurant, I have to say - probably the two worst steaks I have ever eaten on both occasions and the service was slooooow. So now I just walk into town to eat.

For me it is all about location. Right on the front with some good sea views, that's why return. I do get a bit annoyed that you can pay only £45 off season but it shoots to £85 in August, but I guess that's just economics.

If you are expecting luxury, look elsewhere. But if you know what you want and what you will get, this hotel is fine.

Room Tip: Room 229 - top floor, great view.

As a family of four we booked a weeks stay over October half term on a £29 a night offer - but upgraded for a sea view room. I recall an extra £10 a night for a standard sea view room and £20 for a superior. We did the latter and were put in room 620 in the new part of the hotel - double aspect room with sea view from both windows!! Fab views towards Torquay and Brixham. Large room very new and clean. One complaint given that its a family room - only five hangers in the wardrobe. Very responsive climate control in the room. We had breakfast in the Beefeater restaurant on two mornings - £7.99 for each adult but the children ate free - an all you can eat buffet - excellent standard of service in the restaurant and good quality food - would definately recommend. One consistent problem is the car park - never enough spaces, however people seemed to park on the double yellow lines/on verges/any available space within the car park without (it seemed) any problems or enforcement. There is direct access into the adjacent Council run car park to the rear of the hotel but this is pay and display - don't recall the price. All staff seemed friendly and helpful. This is a great location within 5-10 minutes walk of Torquay Town Centre and excellent value for money. Would not hesitate to recommend and will definately stay again!

Room Tip: You can upgrade for a sea view
