We stayed in the new part of the hotel on the ground floor (not lower ground) with a view of the sea. Double Room with was large, clean and comfortable - the bathroom was also a decent size with an excellent shower (over the bath) which are sometimes hit and miss. We stayed four nights and room and bathroom were always clean. There is a Beefeater restaurant on site and although we did not use it it always seemed to be busy. We did however use the bar and found this to be very comfortable and the staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town centre where there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. Parking was busy but we always managed to find a space and if you are unlucky enough not to find one there is the council parking area attached - just the inconvenience of having to pay. This is not our first stay at a Premier Inn and will certainly not be our last. Highly recommended.

This is an old building but has been converted well. All comfy as usual but spiders seem to be an issue in our room. And it needed a good hoover. Restaurant big but very warm. In fact hot so where thin clothing! Quite expensive so would opt for fish and chips on the beach next time. Good location can walk everywhere. One thing I would note is that if you can't get in the car park there is the overflow one next to it. This is highly charged but told afterwards by reception that you can get a cheap ticket for this area -- not told this so paid full price -:(

Have stayed in a few Premier Inns in the last couple of years, and the thing I like is that the standards are always high regardless of which location you go to. You cant fault the location here, as its on the seafront and is only 5 mins to the town centre. Like everything in life, nothing is perfect, and the only thing that let the place down was the overflowing ashtrays either side of the hotel entrance. Apart from that our two days there were brilliant, and I'd like to stay there again next time I'm in Devon.

I stayed in twin room here with a friend, whilst in Torquay for a conference. We were lucky and had a huge room, overlooking the beach and sea front. It was comfortable and clean, with basic tioleteries etc. The staff coped well with the arrival of a number of conference delegates all at the same time, and were very responsive when we could not work the heating- coming up to us immeduately. Breakfast was served in the restaurant next door and was Ok- hot food abit tired, but they made me porridge and the coffee was excellent. Overall a really good value hotel in a great location- if you get the sea view!!

Room Tip: Ask for the sea view- we had 233.

We booked for a long weekend for the beginning of October. The room (218) was huge, very clean tidy and comfortable. If there was any complaint the on suite was tired. A coat of paint would not of gone a miss. However it was also very clean. We had a meal in the adjacent Beefeater it was nice but quite expensive. The bar area was pleasant as were all of the staff. Bar prices were acceptable. Overall we would come back again.
