We were looking to have a couple of quiet nights away and found the hotel were running a webdeal. At high season, I'm guessing the place is quite bustling (judging from pix on their website), but we went low season (early March). We'd unwittingly timed our visit to coincide with the UEFA football which was on downstairs in the bar, so were lucky the manager had fixed us up with a lovely room overlooking the sea, out of earshot of enthusiastic fans!
There's a small gym plus swimming pool downstairs & times are restricted on pool use. Facilities have to be paid for separately but a day pass is very reasonable. We enjoyed the warm pool so much that we forgot there was also a sauna & jacuzzi, too.
We were surprised to find the parking so in demand at low season, and were lucky to get a space. Had we been planning day trips, we might've worried we wouldn't find a spot upon our return. (Am guessing the high demand is due to the bar & gym being open to non-residents as well as guests?)
Breakfast was wonderful... Cereal/tea/OJ/cooked English, the lot... Nice & filling, with a sea view through the conservatory windows to boot. On the webdeal, our evening meal was a bit more restricted in choice for the price (fair enough). The meals were of the 'bar type' meal variety, but this was fine for a couple of nights.
Staff were very welcoming, helpful & accommodating. Rooms were clean & tidy and there's freeview TV in the rooms. Also wireless, we're told (that's wireless internet, not a radio!).
We normally travel about in our campervan, but couldn't be bothered with packing up the camper & cooking for ourselves this time around, and just fancied a bit of pampering in nice surroundings. We'd definitely consider stopping here again should we need another break from campervanning & housework!
