Originally booked a room for single use through Booking.com for £120 for 3 nights in a room with a double and single bed. When I amended the booking and asked for my friend to share the room the cost was doubled by the hotel to £240 for 3 nights which I thought was excessive, however I agreed. Should have booked a B and B instead of this hotel as for the price the room was pretty ordinary, and the complimentary shampoo's etc were absolutely minimal. Only one chair in the room, yet the room was a double. Location was good as was breakfast I must say. Staff were friendly. Wouldn't go there again. Torquay is a good place to visit, however if you want a sandy beach then go to nearby Paignton where there are many B and B's. The train goes there, as well as an every 10 minute local bus service from Torquay.

Booked two double rooms overlooking the bay, under £30 per night, large rooms with a single and double bed, spotless bathrooms and lovely breakfast included.

Reception was very friendly and helpful.

Parking can be an issue but there is a cheap car park next door so don't let it put you off.

The bar and terrace is busy but did not disturb us at all. We chose not to eat or drink there in the evening because it was n't our scene and there are much classier places nearby. If you are a pint a' lager / burger & chips type you'll probably love it.

Great location, very close to town, nice walk along the front.

Highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the bay, not the one over the bar area unless you want to see and hear fa...

A great few days at the Heritage, fantastic views from the large room we were allocated with a large window with views over the Bay. Room very clean and tidy with very comfortable beds. All the Staff were great from the house keeping team to the waitresses and bar staff. Management was very friendly and all were very welcoming. A special mention for Paul who is excellent at fixing TVs!! Parking was a bit of a problem but entertaining when watching from a birds-eye view!

My wife and I stayed here last week for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Hotel location excellent, as were the double room with sea view, good food delivered with a smile every time, the well kept Pool/Jacuzzi/Sauna and a great outdoors seating area,Best of all though was the positive helpful and cheerful attitude of everyone who works there. We would recommend this hotel to everyone without hesitation.

Room Tip: Try to get a top floor sea view room for best views

I took a party of 14 veteran footballers to stay this hotel for the weekend. This was by far the best hotel we have stayed in . The rooms were spacious clean with good comfy beds. The maids cleaned everyday ( which took us by surprise as we are not used to such luxurory) and left nice fluffy towels. The room had a lovely view across the bay.

In booking the trip I had good friendly support from the hotel and this was echoed over the weekend. All of the staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and served overlooking tHe bay.

We spent a lot of time in Applebys ( the bar attached to the hotel) as the lions game was on. It was nice enough to sit outside and they had big screen TVs to watch the game . This is where the only moan my team had that the benches were to un comfy to spend 6 hours sat on all day drinking! The prices for food and drink were reasonable with some good offers on

If I had one comment is that if you are going in a group the hotel does still have families and couples staying too - although I did nt see any conflict I would say that folks bear that in mind when booking.

We combined the trip with golf in the nearby park which was a lovely place on a summers day.

All in all top hotel and one to consider if you are taking a group to Torquay

Much better than I was expecting. The upgraded room was very spacious, the main room was a little tired and need of decoration, the bathroom was excellent.

Very clean, excellent towels, nice to have basic Sky TV.

Great sea views

Only down side the noise from the bar, however this end promptly at 11pm.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the bar
