“Ideal location, great for dogs.”
Reviewed 19 November 2011

Great welcome (despite our lateness) from David and Ivy. Rented appt 10, Ideal for 3 of us(myself, my partner and his mum) and 2 dogs, warm although we visited in November (11/11/2011-18/11/2011). Centrally located, few minutes walk to local shops one way, park or sea front the other, litterally 2 mins from station. Ideal touring base for Torquay and surrounding area. We had great weather, pity the pool wasn't open!!(only joking!)
Would definately book again if going to that area, well equipped only suggestion would be some coat hooks and a wee coffee table or nest of tables, otherwise superb. Dogs loved the nearby park, but we later found other country walks nearby. Take-away choice good and they deliver.Just so near to so many things, glad i read a review before i went as we made sure we got money off vouchers for model village, caverns etc, but there was a brochure available with all them in it and on arrival we were given a map and our life saver after a long journey.... the menu for a chippy that delivered. 10/10!
Different sizes of appartments available depending on your party and preference, but all reasonable rates, particulary for an out of season break and despite many warning us attractions would be closed, most are open until 31st October and beyond,we were spoilt for choice and saw all we could in the time we had.Our only regret was that some had things on in October then nothing in november then Christmas displays starting December, so start of December is a better time to visit if it is a winter holiday.
Would definately reccommend.Good for family holiday with or without pets as great location.

Room Tip: if we went back we would probably go for appt 4 as it has a door to the outside, easier if a dog wan...

I stayed at the Barramore with my husband and daughter in Oct 2011. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who showed us around the apartment we had booked - we arrived 2 hours before check-in time but were able to check-in early. We were given a map of the area by the owner who told us where the local shops and the amenities were. The owner had provided us with tea, coffee, sugar and milk which was much needed after a long drive. We were on the ground floor, which made unpacking incredibly easy. With a 2 bedroom apartment that was clean, spacious and very airy. The Barramore was situated on a quiet street, just a lovely 10 minutes walk to the beach.
Overall it was a lovely place to stay and we will definitely be looking to stay again.

After a long tiring journey we were greeted by David and Ivy who I have to say are most welcoming. Our apartment was well equipped and catered for our every needs. How lovely it was to find a few extra home touches. ie. complimentary towels and fresh milk in the fridge.. even loo rolls! However we did have a slight problem in that the toilet seat / shower floor area was not too clean. Apart from that couldn't fault the place. Excellent value for Money :-) :-)

I stayed at the Barramore with my friend, 2 children and a small dog in june 2010. we were greeted by the owners on our arrival who were very helpful and welcoming. We were very pleased with the accomodation we had a ground floor 2 bedroomed flat which was very well equipped ,clean and spacious. The appartments are situated in a quiet avenue but within easy reach of the sea front about 6-7 minutes walkso it was peaceful at night .There are shops and a pub nearby so it was very convenient for shopping. the appartment supplied every thing it was like home from home and we had a very comfortable stay and it was great that we could take our small dog with us .David and Ivy were accesable by phone if needed as well as spending sometime on site and nothing seemed to be any trouble to them. there is a swimming pool which was very clean and there were pool toys for the children as well as a trampoline and a barbaque area and laundry facilities .There was nothing negative we could find to say about this acoomodation and would reccomend this to anyone who were thinking of staying there. We had a great week in very comfortable surroundings and will certainly be lokoing to stay there again.
