“Looks small from the outside but bigger inside”
Reviewed 18 October 2011

This was a great attraction, my son had been crazing to go all week and he thouroughly enjoyed it, It was only £4.95 per person for the entrance fee and this was a set price for everyone over 2 years old, which I thought was fab and you received admission to go back again for only £1.

There was lots to see, different dinosaurs and huge spiders as you walked in, these were fun, even though I hate spiders ! There was a few steps to go up to look at the dinosaurs but not steep ones.

You could sit on some of the dinosaurs and have your photo taken and when you go in you can participate in a questionaire, which had 25 questions to answer and it asked you to draw some pictures too, at the end you mark your paper and you gain a certificate to keep, which you put your name on and you you get a small button badge as well with dinosaur world on,

The bloke on reception was very helpful and informative and was a really happy welcoming guy, we had our photos taken on the dinosaur at the front which comes in a frame, the photos were £3.50 each or £3.99 for two.

“Doesn't look much from the outside but very impressive inside!”
Reviewed 4 October 2011

My husband and I visited this attraction during a holiday to Torquay in September 2011. It does not appear much from the outside but inside it is much bigger than we expected.
The man on the front desk welcomed us and seemed to enjoy his job. He was knowledgeable about the dinosaurs and very friendly, which was a welcome change for us as most staff at the other attractions we had visited previously were quite grumpy!

There are lots of different exhibits to look at and touch - you can even sit on some of the dinosaurs and have your photograph taken! We were given a quiz sheet which makes the walk around a bit more interactive and if you get all of the answers correct, you get given a certificate and a badge.

There is no cafe here but a small gift shop which sold reasonably priced DVDs and dinosaur toys.

Well worth a visit for any dinosaur fan. Be sure to check the opening times before you go though, as when we arrived at 10:00 we found that it didn't actually open until 11:00 that day. Good value for money as it was one of the cheaper attractions we visited during our stay.

TIP: Living Coasts and Dinosaur Land are very close together and share the same car park. Visit both in one day to save on car park charges. If you have time to visit any other attractions, buy a 24 hour car park ticket which is transferable to Torquay's other long stay car parks. In one day we visited Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones, Living Coasts and Dinosaur Land and paid £7.10 in car park charges by doing this - a saving of over £5.00.

TIP: Before you go anywhere in Torquay, visit the Tourist Information Centre (or Bygones, as they have some there) and pick up a small leaflet called an English Riviera Attractions Passport. We missed this until the last day but there are vouchers inside worth £40.00 off some of the most popular attractions in Torquay.

“Great hands on fun for all ages”
Reviewed 18 August 2011

The natural history museum should take some advice from here. Our children were amazed that you can touch the majority of the exhibits and interact with them, the quiz made us stop at every exhibit, which had fascinating facts and our children are 10 and 15. Wonderful experience

“Really Good Attraction”
Reviewed 10 June 2011

Took my 4 year old grandson and 2 year old granddaughter to Dino World in May. Thinking it would be a quick 'in through one door, take your money and out the other side' I was very surprised by this visit. It was a very good exhibition of good educational value. The children can complete a quiz as they go around and get a certificate at the end. The exhibits were good and very realistic. Some loud roars from one exhibit was a bit alarming for the two year old but she enjoyed it overall. There are the obvious catches like shop right at the end that you have to walk through and a photo area which for attractions was very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit and as its near to the habour, you can leave the less interested members of your party outside looking at the spectcular views. My wheelchair user son was with us and except for one small area could access all of the exhibition.
